I've decided

Chapter 22

'Omar'

"You finally accepted my invitation?" he said pointing towards a table

"What do you want, and why are you back."

"I want a fair match, we all know that you always let me win."

"Isn't that what you want?

"Why bother me now, or do you want to lose now…"

"As if I'll allow myself to be beaten by you, I'm here for a proposal…Elizah."

"Enjoy…"I said getting up

"Aren't you concerned about me stealing your girl?"

"Maybe I haven't made myself clear, good luck…besides Elizah isn't dumb she won't be tricked by you."

"I'll leave her alone if you give me a fair match…" he said getting up as well, "next month a week before I have to hand in the ring if you don't show you forfeit her to me."

"Why you don't even like her…you don't even know her."

"But you do, don't be late…" he said leaving

Speak about an unnecessary event that I don't need right now, I left the restaurant and went over to the kickboxing ring. I don't understand why I always make passive statements around him. His finally smart enough to notice that I always let him get his way, but I found myself furiously beating up a bag at the thought of his words.

"What did the poor bag do to you now?" Owais asked walking towards me, "looks like a raging case to me."

"You`re back?"

"Yes, I've never seen you this upset before. Who messed with you this time?

"Is it Jamal again..."

"How did you know…"

"I was at Elizah's the other day and she happened to spill, why is it making you upset though."

"It's not,

"She can be with whoever she wants to…as long as she's happy."

"That broken practice doll says otherwise. Should I be concerned?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"You don't have to admit it, Omar, I know you have feelings for Elizah…you especially want to protect her. Just a small piece of advice…don't make her seem like she's not important to you, it didn't end well for Zamin."

"I'm pretty sure about where I stand and how I feel and I do not like her."

"Denial is a serious thing," he said leaving with a few of his hidden-away snacks

I continued my workout till I found myself lying on the ground with sweat dripping from everywhere.

"This is where you were this whole time?" she said pouring water over my head, "what's bugging you, you look very frustrated."

"Nothing, just tired.

"I brought your food here hoping you`d be here since you ignored all of my calls. I'll leave now," she said placing the packet beside me

"Don't leave…" I called out to her standing, "Don't go Elizah…"

"I was just going to buy you another bottle of water, you think I'll let you eat alone?" she said rushing down the road.

I slapped my forehead. Why the heck did I say that…why the heck was I in the dojo from the morning till now getting angrier at the thought of her with someone else, why did the aching go away as soon as she arrived. She got back with a bottle of water handing it to me along with a clean towel.

"Now that you are back to all your senses can you please put on a shirt?"

"You see shirtless guys every day, all the time. Why do I have to be that one exception?"

She tossed my shirt at me folding her arms, "For personal reasons. The sooner you listen the sooner we can start eating."

I put it on as I listened to her blabber about a few of her terrible dates with Jamal when suddenly he appeared, " you're here too?" he said turning towards her

"What are you doing here?"

"she's my student she'll obviously be here when I am," I said annoyed

"Never seen pretty boy run his mouth like that around me."

"If you have no purpose being here then leave."

"Wait for our match then we'll see if that big mouth will get you anywhere…" Jamal said walking inside, "let's go Elizah," he said grabbing her arm

"I'm not leaving…I have to prepare for my grading, and I'm not taking sides or whatever but I've seen you fight…your no worthy opponent," she said removing his arm from hers, "ill see you as we planned, don't disturb my personal time."

"I respect your decision…" he said

And then he walked out furiously.

"You didn't have to do that," I said a little upset yet relieved, "what if you guys get married and he brings this up one day."

"Then I'll say the exact same thing, he has no right to bully you just because you let him…don't ever let him do that again, and I don't know why you guys are fighting but now you have to win."

"Hmm," I said watching her open the lunch boxes.

Such a powerful woman. It would be a pity to lose her to Jamal of all people and the way he left without saying a thing indicates that he does have hope of wanting to end up with her…I, however, have never been so confused, do I like her…why do I want her beside me, why do I want to protect her, laugh with her…watch her…see her happy I thought it was just a simple crush.

What is love, am I feeling this word towards her? Sometimes it's difficult to tell. I knew my decision for the fight was final, she had decided for me, indirectly, without knowing. It would be a pity to disappoint her.

"Tell him to move the date to next week," I told her returning to my practice as she ate the rest of the food.

She will be mine one day...and it starts with me winning this fight, I refuse to let things end his way when it comes to her...now I had a purpose to bring out the best in me, to showcase my strength.
