Brainteasers Chapter 1 Chapter 1

Samuel Lincoln Cole has just woken up from the worst nightmare he can remember having it was Six in the morning, and he had the worst headache ever he started trying to remember what he did the night before but couldn't remember anything but the nightmare.

Sam sat up to look at his surroundings that's when he realized this wasn't his normal room only wearing boxers and a T-shirt he gets up to go find something to drink his mouth felt like a desert. He didn't know exactly where he was the room wasn't big nor small had 3 doors leading to somewhere else in this place he went to the nearest door and slowly opened it.

Not seeing any light shining out he's found a small closet a couple pairs of shoes on the floor a pair of black shiny dress shoes perfectly shined and some athletic shoes of different styles and uses not to mention sports equipment for a lot of different sports and clothes hung from hundreds of plastic hangers.

Now his mind is starting to worry where is he exactly needing something to drink he walked to the door on the right the only light was coming from a skylight type window in the ceiling no other windows were in the room he again slowly opens this door he could see some light inside but not a lot so he open it to find a full bathroom a toilet 2 sinks a tub with shower and a small window that hardly produced much light but it was far from dark he noticed a switch and flipped it a bright fluorescent light came on and made the bathroom shine more.

So he immediately turned on the water and grabbed the cup sitting there and filled it and proceeded to drink 3 full cups before setting it down putting both hands in the cold water and making a cup splashed it on his face grabbing a towel to dry his face he just finished putting the towel away and as he reached for his toothbrush he looked at himself in the mirror and couldn't believe what he was seeing. Seeing a different face looking back he remembered his nightmare and passed out from shear panic.

In his nightmare he had been at the library studying for a test and it got late and he lost track of time so it was closing time already. Sam was a bookish nerd type always reading and staying mostly to himself he was skinny and got picked on a lot so he was a little worried walking home at night in the dark he had one thing he could do run and he was fast so he started running just a brisk jog pace so he wouldn't get to winded at first then as he got close to the park and wooded area it got really windy and all the lights went out so Sam stopped now standing in the middle of the park he's scared he never liked the dark then like a crack started from the ground and went up in a bright yellow crack in the air then it opened up a portal and a bright light lit up the whole park Sam didn't know what was happening the portal was some distance away but he could see it clearly then a huge beast of some sort he couldn't tell what it was came running out it immediately stopped turned around and a light shot out of a white crystal on the beasts head and shot it at the portal then he heard a voice say not this time and a blue beam of energy came out of the portal and hit the beast in the chest and the crystal stopped and the beast Roared in pain and started running directly towards Sam it was the size of an elephant but it was not an elephant it's torso was almost humanoid like but it's head was like a baboons or bear cause of the colors but it's torso sat on a pod shape with six skinny legs 2 humanoid looking figures appeared out of the portal and were giving chase. Sam not knowing what to do froze in place as the beast was approaching and a bright yellow light ball raced fast as lightning out of the portal and before the beast could trample Sam the light entered him and he disappeared the last thing he saw were a blue and red flash then a yellow soft light and passing out
