Days have passed and Jay has been training with Mark and the fighters in the field.

Bella was sat next to her, bella's parents were released a week ago which she was still happy for. Vanessa's parents decided to stay in the pack but she rarely see them these days.

"I think I'm wet again." Bella suddenly blurted out.

Vanessa chuckled, the first time Bella said that was because Mark was sweating which resulted on his shirt to be stuck onto his body making it easily to spot every detail.

This time he has his shirt off, as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Shit Vanessa, I think I'll jump him this very moment." Bella clenched her hands as she bit her lower lip, "Why are we even here? This is straight ass torture."

Vanessa chuckled once again, she had the same problem but she was controlling herself well.

Everyone noticed the difference in Jay's presence. His presence was more stronger than usual, the small dyed-ish hair strands were noticeable. Jay decided against shifting since he doesn't want to attract attention even more than it already is. His wolf color was unusual which he knew very well, he could handle in his human body anyway. He felt more stronger and his speed was faster. If anyone would see him run, they'll think that he is a vampire but he knew very well that he is faster than a pure vampire.

As Mark was in his fighting stance, sweat rolling down his forehead, Jay stood there pucking at his nails without even looking tired. No sweat was present on his body at all. Mark also noticed that he was taken down more than usual. They usually train the same fighting skills and they both will tie, but this time, it was always Mark getting defeated.

Mark stole a glance at Vanessa, noticing a few of her strands change in color. He looked back at Jay's hair, his head titled.

He felt as if his brother and his mate are keeping a secret for themselves, he also noticed the shift in the air when they both showed up on the field.

Yes, they are stronger since they are the king and queen of the werewolf species but it was stronger, it can knock you off if you weren't handling it correctly. Mark could notice the fighters getting dizzy from all the energy from the both.

Mark stood straight and looked at his brother, he wanted to check something before assuming things.

"Brother, why dont you and Vanessa fight each other seeing as you both are equal in power and I'm no match for you." Mark said

"Why?" his brother answered, his voice filled with confusion.

"You'll never learn anything when you're always winning and I believe that I dont see myself as powerful as I used to be. So I'm suggesting this to you."

Jay sighed, he knew it wasn't usual for Mark to give up a fight just like that but he let it go and nodded.

He watched Mark walk where Vanessa was sitting with Bella and talked to her. Her face turned into confusion as well and meet Jay's eyes.

'Whats up with Mark?' Vanessa voice echoed in Jay's head.

'I dont know but I think you need to practice as well, to upgrade your fighting skills.' Jay answered back and Vanessa groaned and nodded.

She took her hair band and tied her hair into a pony tail. She began to crack her neck and stretch so that she wont be able to pull a muscle.

Jay stood there watching his mate as she did her thing with an amusing look. He thought that he would be able to defeat her just in a minute.

When she finished, she stood there and waved her hand for him to start, "Come on! Lets get going!"

Fighters began to circle around the both, Mark and Bella being in the front.

Bella leaned to Mark and whispered "Isnt this unfair? Vanessa hasn't fought for once in her life."

Mark looked down at his beautiful mate and pushed a strand of hair that was covering her face, "It isnt. You'll see why I'm very confident with what I did, observe." Mark looked back at Vanessa and smiled once he saw the shift in her body. She might not feel it but he can see the energy radiating from her way.

Just as Vanessa waved for Jay to start, he dashed towards her in an unexpected speed that left everyone gaping except for Mark.

Jay thought that this will take Vanessa off guard but once he reached upto her, she side stepped making him loose his balance and fall to the ground. He huffed and stood up once again, "Well, I see you know how to fight."

Vanessa smirked "of course i do, forgotten that I used to be a fighter myself in that rotten old pack of mine?"

This time she didn't wait for him to attack her, she ran towards him and threw a punch which he caught easily and tried to knee her side which got a hold of.

She twisted his arm, that was holding hers, around his back and pulled his hair so that his neck is now for her to bite. This would be his end if he didn't think in time. She was about to nibble on his neck, not wanting to hurt him, but he pulled her in front of him and twisted hers instead.

She always struggled in this position even thought this is the best she always use. She back kicked his abdomen which made him fly off of her but not to far.

Mark smirked as he noticed both of their marks.

"Checkmate."he mumbled

So the legacy was true. He thought. No wonder why everything changed in one night. They're lycans. Powerful and the first creatures of this earth.

But he doubt that you've changed into lycan form. Vanessa's mark was much more darker than Jay's, indicating that she hasn't sloved her mark yet.

Mark watched every move she did, it was always defense which made Jay tire out and sweat started forming on his body as Vanessa wasn't as sweaty.

She noticed that Jay was panting and taking deep breathes. She took the chance to end this so called 'battle'.

She pushed him down on the ground and took his arms, folding them in front of him before nibbling on his neck.

"you lost." Vanessa whispered into Jay's ear.
