Chapter 21: Professors arrived

"Will... Wilkes." Hermione's face blushed in red; she slowly walked out of the compartment, pinching her robe with her hands, not knowing where to place her feet.

"What... did something happen just now?"

Wilkes narrowed his eyes, staring at Hermione coming out of the compartment; he was silent for a while before he was relieved.

Others cannot see the mark.

Wilkes leisurely hid his left hand on his side, planning to wait for the right time to study this ability and the mark on the back of his hand.

Then, he acted normal and even said with admiration: "Did not you never heard the unusual riot outside?"

However, when he finished speaking, Wilkes was taken aback, watching Hermione's sharp gaze; she was shocked by the scene in front of her.

The place fell in silence for a while.

Hermione noticed that at this moment, the door to the bathroom was in a mess.

The melted stone door and arched roofs, cracked stone walls almost appear 'concave' from the outside. The broken limbs, rotten meat can be seen everywhere on the floor outside the bathroom.

If it were not for some complete parts, it would be hard to recognize the giant troll!

There is also dark green mucus, constantly oozing out of the rotten meat and spreading out on the ground.

As for the entire corridor outside the bathroom, there are traces of magic attacks everywhere, as if a great battle took place here.

"Oh! My goodness!" At this moment, a female exclamation echoed in the corridor outside the bathroom.

Wilkes slightly recovered from his embarrassment and guessed in his heart that it was almost time. At this time, the professors should have arrived outside.

"Then... that, I'll explain to you later, the professors should be here, let's go out first." Wilkes also said embarrassingly and walked towards Hermione.

Hermione squeezed her hands, lowered her head and tried to avoid Wilkes's eyes, and just nodded.

After asking for permission, Wilkes took Hermione's hand with his right hand and walked to the bathroom door that had melted away.

"This...this is!" Hermione looked shocked. Only then did she discover that the stone door of the bathroom had been totally destroyed and saw the outside scene through the door.

"Wilkes!" Hermione clenched Wilkes subconsciously with both hands, followed him carefully, walking on the dark green mucus on the ground.

As soon as they left the bathroom, Wilkes saw five or six people with suspicious, shocked, doubtful, and solemn eyes standing at the bathroom door, in front of the pile of broken limbs.

Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall, Snape, Professor Quirrell.

Most of them are professors, including the medical dean of the school, Madam Poppy Pomfrey.

Meanwhile, Wilkes looked strange, and Dumbledore acted carefully and thoughtfully.

"Oh! Miss Hermione Granger, and this... Mr. Wilkes, I hope you can give me a reasonable explanation." Seeing Wilkes and Hermione walking out of the bathroom, Professor McGonagall first questioned them with a serious face.

While questioning, she stepped forward and checked them from left to right to ensure they were not injured badly.

Hermione stepped back unconsciously and hid behind Wilkes like a wounded deer.

"Professor McGonagall, thank you for your concern. We were not injured." Wilkes first thanked Professor McGonagall for her concern and then looked at the others.

The other professors did not speak at this moment, and Dumbledore just lowered his head, looking at Wilkes with a wise gaze through the half-moon-shaped glasses.

Unlike Professor McGonagall, other professors showed some suspicion and incomprehension in their eyes.

Professor McGonagall was also on the side, looking at them with embarrassment, praying that this matter had nothing to do with them.

"Professors, good evening." Wilkes first spoke calmly and then raised his right hand to the side, pointing to the ground and the surroundings; his face gradually stiffed.

"I didn't expect to encounter this kind of danger at Hogwarts. Trolls, or a group of giant trolls. If it wasn't for me to be passing by here, I'm afraid Hermione would have died long ago."

Wilkes kept complaining:

"I hope the school will give us an explanation. Otherwise, it will affect the reputation of Hogwarts, and it will be hard for the students studying at Hogwarts!"

Wilkes did not pretend at all. He was furious; moreover, if it was only one giant troll as in the original book, then he wouldn't complain at all.

However, they were a group of intruder trolls, and they did not even notice them. This is a fatal mistake!

If Hermione happened to be here alone, I am afraid I do not know what serious casualties and panic will cause.

Of course, he was not a saint. He was just worried about Hermione's safety; he didn't care how many others would die.

With a sharp gaze and arrogant expression, Wilkes stared directly at Dumbledore, waiting for his answer.
