Miya wiped off the blood on her face. Her eyes stuck on her enemy at all times.
There were still many of them left. And Miya was already getting exhausted. The dodging and jumping around were taxing on her body. But had she avoided that she would have been pummeled by fire balls.
Little by little her stamina was fleeting. How many more witches could she fight? How many could she face? How many more witches could she take down? She had reached her limit.
'I wish Adonis was here.'
Whenever Miya was tired or depressed Adonis would always be there to embrace her and carry her like a princess. Both of them were secluded and always alone. But Adonis had never allowed her to feel any loneliness.
But here she was all alone, for the first time in her life. The absence of Adonis was eating away her soul. Today was her most unlucky day. The injuries on her heart were more profound than the ones on her body.
"I need to buy time."
Even if she were to die here, she cannot let her death be pointless. Adonis must be successful in his pursuit.
It was then….
*Booom*
*Bamm*
The sound of an explosion resounded in her ears. Her ears twitched as she turned towards the direction of the sound and so did all the witches.
Miya's eyes shot out wide. Her hands shook as they were unable to hold onto her weapon anymore. She was losing all hope. One after another misfortune was befalling on her.
"No… Adonis!"
The peasant's house that Adonis had taken shelter in was now in rubles and was caught in the fire. She had no idea what happened. Did someone attack her Adonis? Or did the roaring thunder fall on that house? There was a possibility that some witches were left behind and had found Adonis while he cultivated.
Or worse of all. It could be possible that Adonis's body couldn't contain the divine blood inside his body and he exploded!
"No, No," she shook her head. "Adonis!" She screamed her lungs out.
She let go of her weapon.
*thud*
Miya's axe was left on the hilly floor as she made a run towards the rumble. Dust rose in the air as it created an unusual and unseen mist. But she didn't care. She barged inside with no other care of the world. The witches… the thunderstorm… Nothing was important to her anymore. All she wanted was for Adonis to be alive.
She wanted to be embraced. She wanted to be kissed. Just like she was used to before all of this mess began. It was today that she regretted not cherishing all those kisses when she had them all to herself.

"Huuk!"
Adonis opened his eyes. 'Her blood had been cultivated successfully. There were only traces of her blood left in Adonis' body which would be absorbed in due time.
Adonis looked at his palm.
He closed it into a fist feeling in his grip.
"I feel stronger than before," Adonis could feel it in his grip.
He wasn't the old Adonis now. The divine blood had worked many times better than Miya's blood could ever do.
He scrounged at his bag for his equipment. One that he never knew existed before. But after the series of events that had happened to him, he knew what it was. For the principle behind it correlates to the very existence of God!
It was a small piece of equipment that looked like a thermometer at best. But it had a sharp tip. Sharp enough to cause a cut on Adonis's finger. But the cut was healed soon enough leaving a trace of blood on the tip. Being a demi-God sure had its perks. He could heal faster than most humans.
[Primordial Blood Concentration: 17 %]
"Oh my God!" Adonis cried. "It succeeded!"
Adonis was happy and why won't he be? His Primordial Blood concentration has increased from 16 % to 17%. He was able to absorb the divine blood and cultivate its strength!
All Gods owed their strength to their primordial Bloodline with no exception. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been much difference between humans and Gods.
Primordial deities like Nyx, the primordial deity of night, Gaia - goddess earth itself, etc all exist from eternity and have a 100% primordial bloodline constitution.
On the other hand, Earthly Olympian Gods like Zeus, Hera, etc had a constitution a little less than 100%. The Primordial bloodline is what determines a God's strength.
As such Zeus though the ruler of all Olympian Gods is actually weaker than the primordial deities. And fair enough they were the only ones he feared. But the primordial deities posed no threat to his rule as they weren't least bit interested in an earthly throne.
Adonis's pupils shook.
"If this really works like this, will I be able to buy my freedom?"
Adonis was an anomaly in all of this. The only one who could cultivate primordial blood. For most demiGods, it was common to have a primordial blood concentration of 16% to 20%. Miya herself was at 17% the same as the Adonis of now.
But with the ability to cultivate primordial blood, Adonis's potential was limitless! He could reach a realm even higher than Zeus but at what cost? That was a question he was not yet prepared to answer.
But Adonis shook his head.
"That's just a pipe dream."
Adonis knew he had potential. Adonis knew he could reach strength no man had ever seen before. But would the Gods keep him alive for that?
Adonis' eyes flared as he clasped his fingers into a fist.
"That is why I have to survive and kill all the Gods!"
The solution to his problem was simple. If he and the Gods couldn't live under one sky then one of them must be wiped out!
