"Um..Valek? I need to ask you something, if you don't mind me asking any personal questions," I said while taking a bite of the last cookie of my batch, whereas Valek had already swallowed his bunch within a minute.

"Yeah, sure Lily since, you are already familiar with all of my personal matters, go on," Valek said while holding the coffee mug which had gotten cold by now.

"It's um…" I hesitated while asking anything about his mother from him.

He had always resented this topic of discussion between us.

"You can ask me anything Lily. You don't have to think twice," he said in a heartfelt way.

"Ok…um..alright," I straightened my back and shook a little thinking that it would shake off my hesitation and the fear of him getting angry with me.

I placed my cookie back in the bag, which we had carefully adjusted between two twigs and so, it couldn't fall down.
