Chapter 48: The after effects of the dive

Once at the hospital, they all received their shots. Since there were no antibiotics available, they had to hope that whatever was wrong wouldn’t cause bigger problems. There were no doctors available to check on the group, and the nurses were either not able to help or didn’t have the knowledge to give them the care they needed.

A three-hour drive waited for them - something they were not looking forward too; however, they decided to get home so that Edna could examine them. As a qualified nurse she could administer the correct medicine and they could get some rest before the next episode in this ordeal.

Patrick insisted that he would drive this part, even though his leg was in a brace set by the nurse in ER.

Two hours later they stopped at Arno’s place at long last.

It felt like days ago since they had seen him and his wife. During the trip they stopped several times, as they all got sick; it seemed as if they were making turns on who would go next.
