Cricket sound close to my face is enough to make me realize that I had passed out in the dark last night. The sun is about to rise and I could clearly see the swelling wounds all around my bare feet.
I sighed and tried to get up only to be startled by the sight around me.
It's like I'm staring at a sea of waste, piles of large trunks of trees, everything is wood material that came from the monstrous waves of the sea. Dried grasses everywhere, No signs of life. It's a mess, It's terrifying to look at.
Out of the blue, a sway of sadness reached my system and I kind of relate to what I am currently looking at. Ugly, messy, terrifying.
But I find the place so calm. The sound of waves from afar made me interested. I want to see. I want to know.
I continue my journey to the dangerous sea despite the injury I am enduring.
It's way too long, I thought I was close to the seawater since I heard the waves, but I was wrong. I've been walking for hours and I never see a glimpse of the wide sea. It seems endless.
I rested in the wrecked small shed and dropped the woods I picked out for tonight's light fire— my eyes widened as I realized what I had found.
It's a shed! People have been here!
I looked around and I saw an abandoned structure quite far from where I am. It's a sequence of square rooms, it's open, no doors at all, except for that one square that has no sign of the previous door, almost seems like a vacant space, but if I try to observe it closely, it's like the crack wall was the door itself.
My curiosity spiked and so I started walking towards that direction. I never even notice that the sun is about to set if not just the scenery I noticed.
It's beautiful.
As I went closer to the structure, not far from it is the wide ocean. The sight is so breathtaking that I even find myself wanting to go for a bath.
I was too excited to care for my life and I dive into the waves and accept all the force. It raised my adrenaline but it feels great for me. Probably the first time feeling the adrenaline rush without fear and just plain excitement.
The waves just kept sending me back to the shore and to be honest, my wounds kept enduring the impact. I finally decided to go back to the shore since the waves are getting bigger. I needed a fire before the light completely sunk down.
After creating a fire, I took off my long, torn chiffon skirt and my sleeveless to hang it close to the heat. I stared at the cages and thought if I could stay there for a while. I walked to the cages just in my underclothes.
It's too dark. I went to the vacant square wall and sat down on the piece of cloth, I hugged my knees and stared at the fire there were too many pieces of clothes scattered around in this area.
I relaxed my muscles and flinched when a pain shot in my feet. I heaved a heavy sigh and leaned back to the wall, but then my back didn't meet a wall but a floor and created a slapping sound.
My eyes widened when I realized my body went through the wall I was supposed to lean at. I'm sure the wall was just centimeters away when I attempted to lean on it.
I found my body lying in a dark place. Too dark that the single lit-up candle barely stands in the darkness. I don't know what's happening but it only lit up to display the candle itself. No more is seen.
"What's your name?"
My whole body shivered at the deep voice coming from nowhere.
"Anybody here?" I asked to myself
"Tell me your name" he commanded impatiently as the candle blew off. It turned completely black and chilling.
I might believe in ghosts now. They actually talk to humans, like what norms they're telling.
"I could ask you the same—" I was cut off when I heard a deep purring sound. It's unnatural, almost otherworldly.
"Come here" he breathed deeply. everything he says reverberates Throughout the place, I slowly sat up and attempt to crawl back out
"Uh-no?—" I answered yet again. I was cut off when a force pulled me in, deeper into the darkness.
"You're not even average but you looked, quite decent," he commented right in my ears.
I was stunned, no, I was annoyed. Even a ghost won't bother to ignore my appearance. It's completely dark. How could he see me?
"You're warm, you're fragile, you're a stupid human" he again commented but this time a finger was grazing my skin. My hands moved on their own and caught my fingers, a shrill of electricity traveled down my system and the whole area became visible to my eyes.
I turned immediately in his direction and what I saw was no ghost, he's too beautiful to be a ghost, he's sitting comfortably on the headboard of the bed, looking straight at me with boredom sitting on his face.
I looked away to observe the area and I found it messed up. Ladies' dresses are everywhere on the floor, the room doesn't stink, it actually smells like woman perfumes mixed up together.
"You don't like what you see?" He asked I didn't turn to him since I don't have to answer the question.
I stood up ready to go out and wake up in this dream but I found no door to exit.
"I don't expect this level of audacity coming from a not-so-average woman inside my territory at all." The ghost stated and again a force is pulling me closer to him. "You dare to ignore me, who's soon will inherit the Jupiter with you, who were the chosen key"
"Jupiter? With me? Are you blind? I'm human! I can't come with you to that planet!"
"Lower down your voice" he commanded, almost hissing, making me shut up instantly.
"I'm sorry if I disturb you and your piece, but I don't understand what you were talking about. I'm leaving" I spoke and again stood and walked straight but all I found was walking back to him which is against my will.
My eyes widened when I saw him standing in his seat and I could clearly see his otherworldly physical appearance. Elongated and pointed ears, long and slick wagging tails behind him, his all-over tanned skin, his ripped body, long nails, and glowing galaxy irises. He's utterly beautiful and every time he narrows his eyes the galaxy is rotating as a way of dilating.
"I don't possess enough energy to complete the ritual. It might be against our will but I need human energy to gather enough strength and fulfill my task"
"Are you going to eat me?" I asked absentmindedly
"Precisely, and this would serve as a test if you're genuinely is the chosen key"
"Come on, I don't taste good, you know? I'm not the chosen one, I just happen to trip inside this room, I'm no special. you see, I'm not attractive, I'm fat, I probably taste like burnt pizza—"
My blabbering is interrupted as he already snapped away from the left cloth in me and at a millisecond, I find him hovering over me with a look of aggression.
No.
