Realization And Next Steps

I looked over at the map and saw that the path diverged ahead. It didn't take too long to choose the left path though, since loud, feminine screams could be heard. As my golems snuck towards the sounds, they discovered a cave with several badly built wooden cages that held elves, dwarfs, beastkin, and humans. All of which were female. There was also a 'new' group of humans being dragged towards one of the cages. On the ground of the cave, were many corpses of what I assumed were the males of their groups. My golems moved once the girls were put in cages to attack the group of 13 goblins since one of the girls was being dragged away. The goblin holding her was headshotted by an archer golem, then all of the melee golems attacked, while getting supported by the ranged golems. I was glad that none of the girls had any irreversible damage done to them yet. It makes sense though, since this dungeon hasn't been here for long. Once all of the goblins were cleared out, I had my parrot golem fly down so I could speak through it.

"Hello everyone, I am the creator of the golems you see before you. I sent them here to save you and guide you to a safe place you can stay at in these apocalyptic times. I'm not sure if all of you can understand me, but if you do, then after I finish, please nod your heads. I'm sure all of you don't want to stay in this goblin infested dungeon any longer." After I finished, they all nodded their heads. I did a headcount and noticed that there were three dwarves, five elves, two foxkin, two wolfkin, and eight humans. I had the golems lead them back after they were healed by my healer golem. A lot of them were surprised and thankful once they were healed. They quickly followed behind my golems. Thankfully the apartment building and plumbing were almost done. The mine came in clutch and gave a good supply of stone for the building. I would need to get that farm up and running asap because the amount of food I have would last 21 people two weeks. Three if we ration it out. Thankfully, one the second quest was finished, I had enough credits to buy magically enhanced farm animals, plants, and have some left over. I bought the seeds first and sent them over to my farmer golems, since the farm house isn't ready yet. It should be done by tomorrow. I made eight more miner golems and immediately sent them off to work. I also invested half of my remaining credits on a renewable mine from the shop.

[Renewable Mine: I Mine All Day! I Mine All Night! This mine will renew every 24 hours with various resources, and acts like a dungeon instance that will reset every 24 hours. Sending anyone or anything inside back to the start at each reset. It also places anything mined into a minecart at the start of the mine. The mine starts with four minecarts. More can be purchased from the shop or built and placed in the mine.]

I placed this mine in the exact place the miner golems started mining since it would send them out. Once it was placed down, the mine itself had a large cave entrance on the surface that had several torches lighting it up. It also came with mining equipment, my golems wouldn't need it, but others could use it if they chose to mine. By the time I saw that my golems and the survivors arrives at the gate, the apartment building was ready, and could house 100 people, double that if two people stayed in one apartment each. I also had my builder golems make a public cafeteria so that I could send a maid golem or two, to cook for the survivors. Once the survivors got inside the base, many of them looked bewildered at various golems running around. Another feature I was glad for, was I could type out a message in my computer and my communication golem could convey it. So I typed out an explanation of where they would stay, that they could get food from the public cafeteria, and that if they needed water to clean themselves, either use water magic themselves, or get water from a golem. Once they picked out their apartments, the majority of them went to get water from a mage golem so they could clean themselves. The two mage golems that could use water magic stopped by each of the chosen apartments, filled tubs with water, and buckets with water so they could clean themselves before stepping in the bathtub. Golems with fire magic followed behind and heated up the water.

I let everyone know that food and water would be provided for them, but if they wanted things like clothes, they would have to either source it themselves, or purchase it from me once I set up a clothing store. Water can easily be solved with magic once bottled water gets low, and the magically enhanced animals grow up and breed within a few days. The plants are in a similar situation, except they take a week. I'm a bit of a recluse and really don't want to interact with people by physically going out, so I'll make a few more communication golems, and bar entry to my home by having the inner walls around it be more fortified by my builder golems, and have a constant rotation of golems guarding it.
