Chapter 6

Mia's pov:

Jason paid and left with no words. The other man just left without buying anything. Left alone, I cleaned the mess that bastard made and then it hit me. Sh*t, what if he comes back for his revenge and destroys the place? I don't even work here.

(Well done Mia, it's now that you thought about it.) My subconscious threw at me.

Now I can't help but worry about uncle Robben.

Finally it's 5pm. Time to go home. After hours of fighting between telling uncle Robben about the incident and no need to worry him for nothing, I decided to not tell him hopping the big guy wouldn't do any stupid things and hoping that, is also stupid of me.

Anyway, I went back to my flat, not my mother's house. I needed to see Angy and tell her everything. I also needed her to tell me if I should tell uncle Robben or not. When I got home she wasn't there so I decided to have a bath and just prepare dinner until she arrives. I get bored alone.

There's nothing better than a beautiful shower after a long and stressful day. I went to the kitchen and started to prepare spaghetti with a simple sauce. It's the easiest dish when you are so tired.

Around 7pm, the door was open to reveal a worried Angy: "Jesus Mia, where's your damn phone?" I was surprised with her look and question so I answered confused: "In my bag, why?"

"Mia, phones are made to be taken everywhere with you and to put them in your pocket not your bag so when someone wants to contact you he'll be able to." She stated with anger and sarcasm at the same time and all I did was anger her more with my sarcasm: "Oh really?! Are they seriously made for this? And me who was thinking they made them to make you carry more weight when you put it in your bag!"

"Mia it's serious. You scared the sh*t out of us. Your mom has called me five times this afternoon saying you left her on seen which you never do so I tried to call you at least ten times before calling uncle Robben to tell me you left home and you were good. Just take your stupid phone and don't make us worry like this again."

I felt so bad for making them worry about me so to light up the atmosphere I tried to joke: "I forgot to answer mom's text when I was working. I got this bad habit since I started living with you. It's all your fault."

But all I got was a pissed off Angelina. "Okay I'm sorry, I won't do it again." I added then went straight to my phone and called mom to apologise. They worry about me and it's not for nothing. After what happened it makes sense.

After calling mom, I waited for Angy to finish her bath to have dinner.

After we were around the table having dinner, Angy asked: " So? How was work?" I looked at her a bit worried. "Something happened and you won't like it." Then I told her everything with every detail like she was with me the whole day.

Angy opened her mouth in panic. She knows I fight so that's not what panicked her. Then she closed her eyes trying to calm herself: "Mia, couldn't you be normal for a f**king day?" she then made a cry face. "I'm so done. Now uncle Robben will kick my beautiful ass out."

"Uncle Robben doesn't know about it. I wanted your opinion on either telling him or not. And how did you expect me to react? He called me 'b**ch'." I said rising my voice. I got angry just by remembering how he called me. "You're definitely not telling anything to uncle Robben."

"But what if that guy comes back and makes trouble when uncle Robben doesn't know even what's happening? He may have a heart attack."

"You should have thought about that before kicking a mafia on his private part." She told me while moving her head like I did something crazy. "He's not a mafia man, just a motorcycle man and you never mentioned the existence of that type by the way."

"Could it possibly be because I never saw him before?" She asked sarcastically what caused me to roll my eyes.

We then decided to have a break from the fight and kept silent but suddenly Angy grabbed the chair next to me and sat. "Wait! Did you mention Jason Frost in the story or I just thought you did?" I thought she will realise that sooner since she doesn't miss a chance to tease me but she didn't.

"Good morning. The info found traffic on its way to your brain apparently."

"Stop with the stupid sarcasm and tell me everything. How did he look? What happened between you two? How did both of you react when you saw each other? How did you feel? Tell me everything." Yup, that's Angelina with her many questions to know everything but it's fair since I do the same thing to her.

"He was the same tall guy. The same brown eyes and hair. He got some muscles and his beard grew up a bit. He got more handsome but for some reason, he looked...sad?" I said the last sentence more like a question. Yeah, he looked sad and I don't know why.

"Why would he look sad?" Angelina knotted her eyebrows. "It's not like I'm in his life to know why he's sad." I said rising my voice but not angrily and now I took the plates from the table to wash them and Angy followed me to continue the conversation: "Fine. And? Did you feel the same way you used to feel when you see him in high school?"

She smiled at me all excited holding hope and happiness in her eyes so I smiled at her remembering the way he makes me feel every time I see him. My heart beats fast. I feel shy. I feel butterflies in my stomach but most importantly, I feel happy. It's crazy how my mood lightens up just by seeing him.

"Well! When I recognized him I froze and felt so embarrassed but inside of me, I felt that feeling and remembered how happy I felt every time I saw him in high school." Angy started jumping all excitedly like she's the one in love.

Well! I'm not in love but the way she acts makes it look like I am. So I decided to ruin her happiness. "However, I didn't feel the feeling I feel in my dream." Exactly as I expected, Angy's excitement flew away and her happy smile replaced by an irritated smile then dropped to have her serious face.

"F**k that dream. It really hits on my nerves. I didn't care in the beginning but choosing your future partner according to a feeling you felt in a dream two years ago like seriously? It's insane."

"It started two years ago. I literally see that dream and feel that feeling every night for almost a month now. That makes me wake up happy and cheerful. It may be a sign."

She didn't seem convinced. "And...who even dreams the same dream every night?" I pointed with my two index fingers toward me. "Me. And who said that Jason can be my future partner? I'm pretty sure he's married with Emma and they at least have two children." Angy's face turned to a frustrated one. "I really like the way you look together, you know?"

"Destiny has other plans and the only people who like how we look together is you and I." I laughed lightly at that but Angy didn't join me so I added. "Anyway, I'm going to bed. I have a beautiful dream to have." That caused Angy to roll her eyes.

I started walking to our room when she called me. "Mia?! Thanks for replacing me today. I owe you."

"Yeah, you really owe me since I forgot to go to the orphanage looking to how tired I felt." I really got tired that I forgot to go to the orphanage. I go there every weekend in the afternoon and cook for the kids for free but today I forgot about it and didn't warn them of my absence. I feel so bad for that. "Sorry." Angy said.

With that, I went straight to bed ready to have my beautiful dream. In this dream I've been mentioning a lot. I see myself wearing a beautiful summer dress reaching only my knees, standing on the beach feeling the water hit my feet gently and absorbs their tiredness from standing the whole day.

I close my eyes to feel the fresh air and breathe the beautiful scent of the see when a man whom I can't see his face puts his hand around my waist from behind and pulls me to his strong chest, hugging me tightly like he would give anything to keep that moment, then he kisses me on my neck.
