Not too bad for a day's work!

Now that Alice had made up her mind about whether she would take the job, Bruce thought it was time to tell her that she was not like other androids.

"Look Alice there are a few things I've been meaning to tell you"..."Things? ...what things? are you okay?" she replied with a worried look on her face as she grasped his arm.

Bruce's heart began to race "damn I love this woman" he thought to himself as he looked into her eyes. "I'm fine it's actually about you ....your unique "

She chuckled " yea you have said that before but please don't scare me to make compliments. she said as her face softened into a smile".

"that's not what I mean Alice ...I mean I do think that way about you..... but what I mean is your programing is different from other androids."

"How so" she said in confusion. "Well other androids are not Abel to hurt any humanoid living thing but you can.... " worries began to show on his face Bruce was obviously very concerned about the possibility of her accidentally hurting someone and them (Government agencies in charge of quality control of android human relations) deactivating her as a result. He didn't care about possibly going to prison anymore he just wanted her to be safe.

Alice now started to retreat into thought and began going over extremely complex equations in her head about possible outcomes.

Ok I see why you are worried ...don't worry I will not slip up I have mastered my anger and it is only an energy boost now I will not act irrationally I promise."

Bruce said nothing else and silently nodded then gave her a hug.

As they were walking to her first day on the job Bruce held her hand tight and made sure to pull her close. Bruce thought he saw the man who was getting signatures standing by a tree but when he looked again there was no one there "Maybe I'm just being paranoid" he mumbuled "What did you say babe?" I thought....oh nevermind I'm just anxious." he smiled and squeezed her hand a little tighter for a second and they continued walking.

" Bye babe I'll be just fine I'll see you at 10." Alice called to Bruce as he walked away he turned and smiled then continued walking although he was so worried he didn't go far so he went to the library a couple blocks away. " I have to believe in her but I don't have to be too far away to help if she needs it. that's not weird." He thought to himself .

The first couple of hours went by quickly Alice learned all the basic functions and what she was required to do and performed her duty quickly and efficiently it was about 930 when all her duties for the night where done all she had to do was wait for the last couple of costumers to finish their food and leave the other floor worker had gone for a smoke out back so she was left to tend the dining hall by herself.

Although it was her first day there was no need to worry she was actually quite good at her job even though she hadn't been programmed for it she learned extremely quickly.

All the sudden the sounds of someone in destress chocked the atmosphere. An older man had started the gag and convulse because of food logged in his throat. the man's wife looked at Alice and screamed "please help him" Alice hadn't been trained in the himlic maneuver . and the man was already on his back on the ground.

Alice screamed for help but other was no response from the other floor worker. she liked to listen to music with noise cancelling headphones when she was smoking.

So Alice was alone she knelt by the man " instantly she started running simulations 1000 per second" his breathing is stopping by a clog how did Bruce explain how to get someone to expel all there breath all at once.... solar plexus Alice calculated exactly how much for was needed to remove the obstruction and struck.

The food flew out of the mans mouth instantly the air had calmed and the man sat up slightly "thank you young lady you saved me." the man wife in tears hugged her extremely tight and opened he wallet and gave her 500 dollars then helped her husband up they paid their check and left the other floor person came in not knowing what had happened.

Alice said nothing about it "it's 10 so Bruce should be waiting outside for me" she thought to herself she said her goodbyes and locked the door on the way out.

She saw Bruce waiting at the bottom of the steps looking up at her his eyes lit up when he saw her as did Alice's when she saw him. she skipped down the steps right into his arms and hugged him tightly and gave him a kiss. "You will never guess what happened " as they walked hand in hand she explained what happened on their way home.

Unknown to the had a spy watching their moves hiding behind a large tree near Alice's place of work. the large man spoke into a walkie talkie "they leave at 10."
