CHAPTER 14

These types of films were typically watched by couples in order to bring them closer together, and in this case, to make Miguel stronger. She had burst out laughing by the end of the movie. Miguel appeared to be very pale, which was a pleasing appearance.

"You should really work on your strong side, sweetheart. I wouldn't like it if you went on a movie date with your girlfriend and used this expression. Remember to be the more powerful one, okay?"

"Yes, I will work on that. Did you like the movie?"

"It was fantastic. You could say I learned a lot from it, and you should as well," she said.

She smiled as she noticed how perplexed he was. She was not going to explain what she had just said, but knowing her boy, he will most likely re-watch it and look for clues. He didn't want to disappoint her, which made her very happy and touched.

Because they had eaten a heavy lunch, the two ordered some Chinese and ate it in the small restaurant like regulars, except for the stares.

The stars were shining brightly in the sky by the time the two returned home, and it was beautiful.

Aurelia kissed her baby goodnight before entering her own room. She undressed, took a warm shower, and changed into silky nightgown. She crept into her husband's bedroom, slipping into the blanket and crawling into his embrace.

She felt at ease by his side and prayed that even if he finds out about the devil she was becoming, he will never leave her side and will continue to love her as he does now.

***

It wasn't his first time in a club, but it was his first time in such a high-end establishment. He now understood why all these wealthy people go to such lengths to make more money. Once you've had a taste of it, you'll never be able to get enough of it. It will become addictive, and he was on the verge of becoming one of those.

Quinton was a little nervous because it was his first-time meeting Aurelia alone. The first time he saw her, she nearly gave him a nosebleed. He'd been with girls and women before, but his desire for this one was intense. He wanted to be close to her, to help her figure out what was making her frown beneath all those fake smiles she wore all day.

He wanted to lighten her load, even if it was only a little. Working for her was proving to be easier. Everything was fine as long as you remained loyal to her.

He could still remember the day they were kidnapped and tortured. That was the worst day of his life, but he never bulged. He had the impression that everything was connected to her, even though they had only recently begun working for her and were unprepared.

They had received their tattoos and had joined her team by the time they were released. The young people were still working on it. Because he now has a spot on her team, he had been running some errands, and it was time for him to make his first direct report to her while she evaluated him.

He took a sip of the expensive whisky and felt it permeate his entire body. When he heard the door open, he jumped to his feet. With a smile, he watched her as she walked into the private room that he had reserved earlier.

She was still lovely, and this was going to be a problem. He planned to find someone and get laid after this meeting. It was critical to get rid of the itch.

She sat on the couch and motioned for him to do the same.

"Please me!" she said with a smile, and he choked on his saliva. Hearing those words from her was startling.

Of course, he knew she didn't mean it sexually, but his mind was racing with all kinds of crazy and erotic images. He shook his head, sipped again, and clasped his hands.

"Yes, Ma'am," he replied, looking at her.

Aurelia was no fool; she was well aware of how much she influenced these young men. It was just comforting to know she hadn't lost her touch. He was young, sexy, and seductive. Unfortunately, she was married. If she had a falling out with her husband, she wouldn't mind spending time with him and exploring that young soul.

"If I don't have good music in my ears, I'll be disappointed!" Though he was no fool, he knew it was a silent warning, she said politely.

Quinton closed his eyes briefly before beginning his first report to his boss. Aurelia listened intently as Quinton delivered the good news that she had been waiting for. He had been following Mercy, the only daughter of Mark and his first wife Eliza, he claimed. He had discovered some very interesting things, and this information was beneficial to his business.

"Let me see it," she said, taking the tablet from him and starting to look through the high-quality photos she had taken over the previous week.

As she swiped through them, she smiled. How could she be so naive? Her folly was going to make her life a lot easier. She was not going to let that family off the hook.

She recalled the time when she was still adjusting, hating her husband to the core for everything he did to her. Being bullied by her husband was bad enough, but Mercy had the audacity to call her names and make her feel like the most worthless person ever.

She wanted to end it at one point, but then she found out she was expecting her first child with her husband. She had always wanted a baby, but she pushed the thought aside for the sake of starting a family.

That didn't stop her stepdaughter from bullying her; when she married that politician, she thought everything would be fine, but she was a crazy bitch, just like her mother.

Now that the tables had been turned, she was going to make her regret ever making life difficult for her.

"I love it; you did an excellent job. I have another assignment for you," she said as she handed him the tablet back.

"I am honored that you have placed your trust in me. So, what can I do? Use what you go there, I need at least a quarter million to half a million by the end of the month, and keep the originals as well. We still have a long way to go," she said as she fiddled with her nails.

Aurelia was staring at Quinton, who was taking in everything she said. He wasn't a moron, so she knew he understood everything she said to him.

"I will not disappoint you," he promised, smiling.

"You had better not. When it comes to punishments and rewards, I am fair. I will reward you because you provided me with excellent service. I should point out, however, that you are only permitted to accept and never to reject. Am I making myself clear?"

"Yes, I will remember that. Whatever you say is a command that i will follow," he said, and she smiled at the thought. There was some truth in what he was saying; he wasn't just licking her booty, which was good for her.

"Good. Something will happen to me this week; you must keep the kids calm. Whatever happens, do not act irrationally or recklessly. Julius will give you your assignments, and I expect you all to do your jobs and listen to your superiors. If you fail me, I will not only evict you, but I will also personally murder you!" She finished her speech and noticed the look in his eyes.

There was no contempt or hatred in his eyes, but he appeared concerned. Why did it appear that way? She quickly brushed the thought aside and rose to her feet. After all, she had business to attend to and rats to kill.

Quinton supported her because she was his boss. He didn't move at all, he had a boner and didn't want her to notice, but she didn't. Aurelia had sharp eyes; she simply looked at him and smiled before walking towards him.

He had no idea what she was going to do to him. Was she going to chastise him? When he realized what she had just done, he was taken aback. He was speechless and stood motionless on the spot.

"I'm going to send your reward in, and please do not reject it. If you don't take it, I'll know," she chuckled as she walked away.

He slid back into his chair as soon as the door was shut. Aurelia had kissed him on the lips; it was chaste and pure, but damn, that was hot. He had his ideal woman, the woman he couldn't have kissed on the lips like a three-year-old, and yet he became hard from it.
