CHAPTER 25

"That is correct. In this world, you need to be surrounded by people you can trust. After seeing everything, I don't think I have the guts to be unfaithful to her," Luke said.

"Then, if you know, just keep that mindset and stop spouting nonsense," Noah said, looking at them.

"We were there for one reason that night, and everything that happened would have happened even if we hadn't been there. But because we were her men, we were there to witness and learn a lesson, and I am glad that you all now understand the lesson that we were taught that night," Quinton said after listening to what the others had to say.

"I'm sorry, Q; I didn't mean to sound so bad. I just wanted to express my opinion and wish," Veronica said, sounding a little down after the way the conversation had heated up.

"And what exactly is your wish?" Quinton asked, a smile on his face.

"I want to grow stronger so that no one can bully me; I want to be able to protect all of you as well, and the only person I have ever seen is boss. Is she a supernatural being?"

"Whoever or whatever she is, she is our savior. We will serve her with everything we have, even if she is a descendant of hell itself. Let us just do our job and hope we don't let her down," Quinton said, and they all nodded in agreement.

The guys took their time digesting everything that had been said before Mary said something unexpected again, forcing everyone to look to Quinton for answers.

"Do you really want to know why she is the way she is?" Quinton inquired, and they all nodded in agreement.

"All right, but I hope you don't say anything I'm about to say to you right now, or we'll be in hot water," he warned, and they all agreed.

So, Quinton began to tell his fellow brothers and sisters about their boss Aurelia's story.

"Aurelia was born into a family of three children, the youngest being her. She has a brother and a sister as older siblings. Her father began gambling and accumulated so many debts that he was forced to make a deal with Mr. King when he lost another large sum of money.

He sold his own child without Aurelia's knowledge. She was an eighteen-year-old girl who wanted to live her life but was in a lot of pain because her boyfriend Victor had dumped her for another rich woman, Diana. To save her father and family, she crucified herself on the cross and agreed to marry the man who was madly in love with her and became his wife.

She wasn't happy, and his family wasn't either. Because of their age difference, Aurelia was more like a daughter to Mark than a wife. She persisted and eventually fell in love with the man who had changed her life for the better and for the worse.

She became pregnant for the first time after her marriage, but three months later she miscarried, which was just the beginning. During her university years, she also lost another baby and was kidnapped.

So many strange things continued to happen to her. Someone was attempting to take her life, but there was never any progress. The final straw for her was when she miscarried for the third time, but this time was different because she no longer had the ability to bear children because her womb was removed due to the severity of the blood loss.

When she was pregnant, she was severely beaten by hoodlums, which resulted in her fatal loss and removal of the womb. It was then that she realized something was wrong. Someone was out to get her, so she started looking into it. It took her years to track down the individuals involved, which is where we came in. All of the people we've been looking into are a part of this grand scheme.

They all contributed to our boss becoming the cruel woman you all witnessed that night. They robbed her of her heart and everything she owned. So, what would you do if you were her?" Quinton inquired of his siblings, who were sitting quietly and listening to his narration.

He noticed how attentive they were by looking at their faces.

"That is truly excessive!" Veronica burst out crying, and he couldn't help but wipe her tears away.

"I'm going to continue, so pay attention. We got rid of Aurelia's ex-boyfriend Victor, who made things difficult for her when she was younger. Despite the fact that we had another assignment with his name, this is completely different.

Diana took part in her humiliation, so she was humiliated instead; now she will find it difficult to lift her head high again. As for the King's family, they were the ones who caused all of her pain, so you can imagine how severe the punishments will be."

"Do you mean this is her way of retaliating against those who caused her to lose her babies? And her husband's family?" Lily questioned it, not believing it. How could they be so cold-hearted?

"Yes, Eliza, the first wife, was the source of all of this, and her children were well aware of it. They will receive fewer punishments, with the harshest one reserved for Eliza."

"What about those ten workers?"

"They were all working for the adversaries, and that was a message sent to them. They will understand if they are intelligent. It's not like they'll find any evidence linking Aurelia or us in the process. Which brings me to my final point: you must all be vigilant and not be caught off guard. Do you get it?"

"Of course, we do!"

The kids all understood why their boss had transformed into a mysterious devil after hearing the story behind Aurelia's character. Even if it had been them, they would have done something far worse.

Quinton rose from his seat at the table and, after excused himself, went outside to the balcony for some fresh air. His heart ached just thinking about how difficult his boss's life was. Even his life had not been that heartbreaking. Lila's own family was filthy; he had looked into them in his spare time. Such people, he couldn't believe existed. Even his own were not as arrogant and aloof as that.

His thoughts returned to that night about a week ago, when he witnessed so much tragedy and bloodshed. He closed his eyes and allowed his mind to wander back to that night.

It's been two weeks since Aurelia's men kidnapped the ten employees. These were the men and women who had betrayed their boss by selling information about her in exchange for her own.

Aurelia's men, who were more experienced than them, tortured them. They were forced to stand by and watch as this occurred. It was initially too much for the girls, who vomited their guts out every time, and even if the other boys.

This torture occurred on a daily basis, and they were forced to witness it. They needed to keep them alive until Aurelia arrives. Aurelia was recuperating on her island at the time, so they had no idea how she was going to come and take care of them.

The most shocking thing, however, was that they were all waiting for her. Julius was not even present, and everyone was wondering how she was going to arrive. They had taken great care not to leave anything for later.

It was around ten o'clock at night when they all noticed a sudden change in the weather. It was as if they were all in a haunted house.

"I will do whatever you want me to do. Please forgive me, Aurelia!"

She, on the other hand, ignored every plea and laughed sarcastically at them.

"You poor souls, if you can betray your own master so easily, what makes you think I'll accept? This is the ultimatum I'm going to give you right now," she said as she threw a dagger with a golden hilt at the end at them, "I will forgive only one of you if you use that dagger to sort yourself out, and you better do it quickly, or I will kill all of you very slowly and painfully. I need to take a bath."

They were all staring at her, including Julius, who was perplexed. It appears that he was not expecting his boss to do what she was doing at the time, which instilled fear in everyone in that warehouse.

Suddenly, all of the prisoners were released, and the massacre began. They all stood there watching as the men and women struggled, fought, bit, punched, and killed each other like bandits. That had to be the most gruesome scene anyone had ever witnessed.

Aurelia never flinched; she appeared to be thoroughly enjoying everything, just like the psychopath. Some people cried out in despair, but no one moved to help because they knew the consequences of such actions.

In just twenty minutes, one man had become so bloodied that he could no longer stand.
