Because they were greedy, they spent half of the money they received from Aurelia on paintings and antiques, which do not lose value but increase in value over time.

It was also their way of avoiding paying taxes, and yet over $20 million was just stolen in a matter of hours. It was a total loss, one that made Susan's heart bleed so much that she had nowhere to vent her rage.

"For the time being, we must make do with what we have. Your sister has already severed ties with us, so if this money is squandered, we will be forced to live on the streets," Susan warned her family.

"Do you think we should contact Aurelia, Mom? She must have regained her composure by now. Who is she to think she can just cut ties with the family for a hundred million dollars?" Aurelia's elder sister, Annabella, solicited angrily.

"The Aurelia you knew is no longer here; let us not bother her," Susan quickly corrected her daughter. How could she possibly tell her other daughter?
