The Fourteenth

"Are you shittin' me? We have you surrounded and you're threatening me? You must be on some damn mushrooms." When he said this I just sighed again and said. "Well I warned you."

Before the bandit boss' very eyes I massacred everyone around him in less than a few seconds and he fell to his knees as I put my katana up to his neck. When I did that he pissed himself and passed out. After that I just stabbed him in the neck and looted the bodies. After looting the bodies I decided to look around for their hideout as it might have some valuables or something in them. After I looked around for a bit I found a small cave and saw some bandits pulling some cat and bunny beastkin with collars around their neck towards the cave.

They most likely got captured by them. Well, I came this far, although I didn't come to liberate them I'll just offer them a place in my clan instead. After I had that thought I ran behind the bandits in half a second and slit their throats. Then proceeded into the cave to kill any other thief or bandit leftover. Sadly they didn't have any valuables so I went back towards the girls who were still on the ground looking at me in awe. There was one cat beastkin and one bunny beastkin side by side.

"Well hello to you two, would you like to join my clan instead of joining those dead bandits who were probably planning to play with you until you broke?" When I said this they started to cry before saying anything. After a while they stopped crying then had a short discussion before talking to me.

"My name is Celeste and my friend the bunny beastkin here is Adela. We would like to join your clan, but are we allowed to know your name master?"

"In due time my name will be told to you, but first let's get you two cleaned up." Before they could react or say anything I picked them both up with one on each shoulder and went through the portal. When we arrived I had Elaine and Lydia take them to the bathhouse and clean them before I headed back out. I put all the corpses in storage and tried to cover some more distance for the next few hours before I spotted a large town with huge walls and a large gate. Sadly it was deep into night time so I decided to go back home for the night and head into town tomorrow. When I went back into the mansion I was greeted by Elaine and Lydia while Celeste and Adela were bowing to me. After I told them to raise their heads I spoke to them.

"From this day forward you will join as members of the Nightmare Clan, and while you may be ordinary clan members, don't think you will get bad treatment. In fact you will get better treatment than probably the nobles of this world. Adela and Celeste step forward in front of me." As I said that they moved forward and I touched their collars and a screen popped up.

[Brand Magic Has been learned.]

[You have been registered as the Clan Master of Celeste and Adela.]

After this screen went away I used my bare hands and broke their collars in half before speaking again.

"From this day onward until the day you pass and even after that you will be known as Celeste and Adela Nightmare and I now pronounce you clan members of the Nightmare clan." After I said this I used brand magic on them and then a tattoo of a full moon with two scythe's across it appeared on their arms. Soon after, they both fell on their knees and began crying while Lydia and Elaine comforted them. I left towards my room to go to sleep.

When I woke up the next morning something different happened that day. The entire area began to shake and I felt it strongly as it was coming from the dungeon I took. I quickly got dressed and headed to the entrance of the dungeon. When I arrived a screen popped up in front of me.

[Dungeon has been reawoken and has been altered by Pocket Dimension. Dungeon can now be readily accessed and will reset every three days.]

[Dungeon Core has reached a new level, has gained new floors, and reorganized them.]

[Pocket Dimension has increased to Level 4]

After reading all the notifications on the screen I decided that after I get settled in the town we would do some short dungeon exploration. When I headed out I finally reached the entrance to the town. It had only two guards posted at the front gate. When I came close the first guard approached me.

"Excuse me sir do you have identification? If you don't it costs two silver coins for a temporary one and you need to pass a quick test to make sure you aren't a bandit." When the guard said that I was surprised for a moment. Finally someone with common courtesy and some decency.

"I don't have any identification so here are two silver. What do I do for the criminal check?" When I asked that, the guard took the coins and explained.

"Come over here and put your hand on this orb, it will light green if you have no criminal history." I put my hand on the orb and it shined a bright green.

"Oh by the way I killed some bandits on the way here, I wanted to check and see if they have a bounty on their head. Where can I go to do that?" The guard's eyes went wide for a moment before he spoke again.

"If you wish to check on bounties there is a section in the adventurers guild for them. Also our guard station does the inspection of the bodies so would you happen to have them somewhere?"

"I do have them but would it be ok to take them out here or should we go to the guard station first?" Once again the guard looked shocked before speaking.

"Yes that is alright to do, I didn't think I would see someone else with the dimensional storage ability for a long time. I'll go call some other guards so they can take care of the bodies. Feel free to take them out." As he said that he pointed to the other guard and he ran off. When he left I took out 40 bandit corpses from infinite storage. This time the guard didn't look surprised.
