From outside the office, Sarah was looking at the door immensely surprised and curious. She had never thought about what was now happening before her eyes, how was it possible that Elliot had been so coldhearted and shameless.

Supposedly now he has hired Serena to make amends for his mistakes?

"Whatever you have to say, I don't want to hear it"

"I'm afraid you have no options," said Elliot adopting a firm attitude "I remind you that we are in my company".

"That you are the owner does not give you the freedom to have me here against my will, or to listen to other people's conversations" Serena snapped defensively, she could imagine what would have happened if her confession had escalated to a higher point.

"According to you, what do you think I heard?" he asked boldly, encouraging her to repeat the words that a few minutes ago had taken his breath away.
