“Hurry… hurry! She’s waking up,” a voice was heard as V stirred.
A face in a surgical masked looked down at her, eyes wide with excitement.
“You’re alive,” the doctor said joyfully.
“What happened?” She said in a daze. V looked around and realised that she was in a hospital bed.
“You don’t remember?”
“You saved the Aurora from being stolen. And you single-handedly took on all those thugs by yourself,” he exclaimed, as he handed her the newspaper.
“Girl save zoo’s precious exhibit from thieves”.
V rubbed her eyes in disbelief. “That’s not true. Chaplin was the one,” V explained to the man.
Suddenly there was a loud commotion down the hospital hallway.
“Make way! Make way! Mayor Dunder is here!”
A huge group led by gruff looking police officers barged into the room.
“Miss V, it is truly a great pleasure to see you,” boomed a hugely round man, as the crowd gave way.
