A moment later, the gang had brought the mysterious object to the tool shed in the zoo. It was to be their new investigation hideout. They had turned the workbench into a temporary lab table.
"Alright, here goes," V took a deep breath as she gently laid down the tapped up walnut on the table in front of her.
Shinning a bright table lamp onto the walnut, the gang surrounded it, observing it curiously
"Alright, stand back," ordered V producing a sharp pen knife.
She began cutting the sides slowly as though she was an expert trying to diffuse a bomb.
"You'd think it was a bomb or something," mumbled Benny.
Dawson sniggered.
V turned to them with furrowed eyebrows and continued her delicate operation.
"Okay, it's open," V said excitedly.
The gang peered carefully into the shell.
There was a crumpled piece of orange paper in it.
"I wonder what it is," questioned Benny.
V handed the paper to Benny.
"You should open it since this is your uncle's mystery."
