Chapter 23

Fang Sanctuary

I woke up at my bed, panting with sweat all over my forehead. I could feel my chest throbbing, as my heartbeat were beating in a fast pace.

"What a terrifying nightmare," I whispered, as I wiped the sweat at my forehead with my hand. I immediately got off from my bed, afraid that I might drowse off again, and dream the same nightmare.

I put myself under the cold shower, as the creeps were starting to crawl like veins from my feet.

The moment I was done showering, I heard my phone ringing.

"Hello?" I asked, as I answered the unknown number.

"Hi, Ms. Alice. Goodmorning," a woman's voice replied.

"Uh, yes. Goodmorning. May I know whom I am talking?" I implied.

"Ay, hahaha. This is Channel, Ms. Alice. The team is already at the head quarters. I called because we need your presence here, Ms. Alice. We have something to discuss. Can we summon you right now?" She responded. My forehead creased.

"I know we'll be doing a weird expidition, but to inform you, I cannot do teleportation." I said. I heard her gulped, and then later on, bursted in laughing.

"Ma'am, hahaha! You're such a good joker." She remarked. " Anyway, I am now called out by the team leader, call me when you already arrive, Ms. Alice. Thanks for making me laugh this hard." She added and then cutted the line before I could even react.

"What the hell?" I mumbled to myself, looking at my screen confusingly.

I got annoyed, and rushed towards my closet. I got a tattered pants and a white shirt with me. I paired it with sneakers, and got a brown coat with me. I also brought a sun glass with me, before I ran a red lipstick at my lips.

Today is the first day.

I went to my car and slide in. I pressed the key, and roared the engine to life. I was about to drive away when my hands halted.

"Shit! I don't know where is the headquarter she was pertaining!" I murmured. I hit my head lightly.

This is completely a migrane.

I took the phone out of my bag, and was about to dial Channel's number, when she got to call me first.

"Where's the headquarter?" I said, instantly when I pressed the answer button.

"Eh? I thought you already knew, since it was you who choose this place, Ms. Alice," she replied with a different tone, probably confused.

"Huh? When did I?" I asked, confused too.

"Huh? Uh... it was about a week ago since you boarded here, I think?" She replied. My brows knitted in confusion.

"Really? I did?" I implied, unsure.

"Ma'am, did you got into any accident before you arrived? Especifically, had you hit your head into something? It seems like your having an amnesia."She replied, sounding confused and dazzled.

"Uh, I'll take to you about this matter, later. Could you send me the address, so that I can type it in the waze." I stated, my hands were then, trembling again. I was starting to panic.

"Oh, yes ma'am. I'll text you the address." She said, and dropped the call.

While waiting for her to text me the address, I started calming myself. I was starting to panic, knowing that it wasn't me who did choose where should our headquarter be.

I wasn't in amnesia. I didn't hit my head. It was just simply not me. It was here who did choose. It was Shivana.

My lips quiver upon mentioning her name. My body shivers, and I was starting to have a cold sweats forming at my forehead.

"She had read my plan," I murmured that made me feel all the goosebumps.

This is insane! I know, I was careful of all of my action, I did hide all the possible things that can make her think that I was planning of something, yet she saw it through me.

She was awake, yet she didn't waste her time and strength dwelling with me. She was just silently watching.

That mere thought made me eyes teary. Is it possible to get rid of her, now that she saw my plan.

"What are you planning this time, Shivana? What do you want this time?" I uttered, connecting to her.

For the past years, I've learn to connect to her, I usually do it when I need to ask her something.

I was focusing, and waiting for her respond yet I got nothing but her silence.

"Fuck! How cruel could you be?! You're sabbotaging me!" I screamed in frustration. I wanted to hit myself, but I know that wouldn't affect her.

I have no other choice.

With a trembling hand, I got something from my bag. A rosary.

The moment, my hands held it, my hands were in burning state. I bit my lower lip as I kept the rosary at my hand.

"If you wouldn't answer me, I'll gonna put it at my neck. I'll gonna drag you with me," I threatened.

My hands were tightly holding the rosary, and then my fingers were being forcefully opened.

My eyes grew wide when I saw a beautiful woman infront of me, with the same complexion as mine, we're both pale.

"What do you thing you're doing?!" She shouted yet I was drowned by her mesmerizing beauty.

"W-who are you?" I uttered mindlessly, still staring at her, completely in dazed with her magical beauty.

She looked like a deity, without any light. Alike with a deity that was consealing herself at the dark, or a deity that was locked up at the dark.

"Do you want us to die?!" She screamed at me again. I gulped, and was left hanging. All that was running at my mind was how could this woman with the most enchanting and kind aura seek for vengeance so bad?

"Sh-Shivana," I stammered upon mentioning her name.

"H-How...? W-What? Why...?" I couldn't even composed a sentence. My mind went just blank, and all I could think was her reasons to become this evil?

"It's been a while since I have been staying at your body, just like you, I have learn. I studied and read, when I reign from you on taking over, but unlike you, I could keep any hint away from you." She said. My mind just froze, and all I could do is to gawk at her.

"W-what the hell is this?!" I murmured again.

"Will you just murmur? I summoned myself infront of you, because you were desperate to talk, and now that I am here, all that you've been doing is to murmur. Can you please compose yourself?" She uttered with an annoyed voice. My lips agape and stared at her before putting my senses together. I coughed.

"Leave me alone... from now on." I stated with a sharp gaze.
