Chapter Twenty-Two

"Careful, let me help you."

"No, thank you. I can do this on my own." Cass protested.

I walked closer to Cass, ignoring what she just said, I carried her from the hospital bed and gently placed her in the wheelchair.

Cass will be in a wheelchair for some weeks before she will be able to walk again, she had a lot of broken bones during the accident.

"I could have done that on my own."

"I know, but it will probably take you hours, so I did us both a favor by saving time." I chuckled as I saw Cass murmur something under her breath before we left the room and out of the hospital building.

Cass was discharged today, after spending weeks in the hospital. I was so happy when Sam told me she was fine and could go home with me today. But she has been proving difficult around me, it's like she didn't want me around her.
