Rebirth and Reincarnation

Like everything else, with Selene, I easily picked up the sign language used to communicate with Kumiko, which turned out to be not very different from the sign language I had been taught at the Uni. Undoubtedly, some words were unexpressible in the modern language, and others were unexplainable in the current language, but I quickly grew confident in my ability to communicate with her. 


In the meantime, I pursued my cultivation more actively, to the point where I felt ready to challenge the first tribulation; now all that I needed was to find a secluded place to do it. 


I visited Gu Yi every day, who swiftly recovered from his ordeal now that the physicians were compelled to obey their commands and not their own wills. I also visited with Gang-ge every other day, because he had grown busier with my father’s appointments to gather intelligence about dragons. 


More than anything, I wanted to take part in what was coming: a delegation to investigate the sighting of the dragon.
