XXVII: First stages Part I

It was all smooth sailing from then on for me.

Thankfully, Yin's endorsement of me, just as Zhihao had predicted, sufficed, and I received a spot at the very front of the pile of papers, right next to that of Princess Odsar, who didn't seem all that pleased upon discovering this.

They gave us a small cottage to ourselves with a separation between the four beds. One side for the boys and another for the girls. A group of experienced physicians cleaned our wounds and healed everything with a simple wave of chi magic.

Not for the first time. I wished I had asked Mu about it in depth, back in the Painted World.

My party, of course, marveled at the display of magic and they asked the healers many questions that they masterfully deflected. It was clearly a point of pride for them, but still, something to keep to themselves about.

However, of all the marvels that we saw and experienced in that place, there was one that topped them all: a bathtub.
