I sat on the bed when I heard the doorbell is ringing. I glanced at the wall clock and it showed one in the afternoon. Who was at this time?
I wiped my tear-stained face with a towel and opened the door only
to see Juliet who was standing there wearing a worried expression on her face.
"I didn't expect to see you here," I said before opening
the door for her to enter. "Sit, I get some water for you." I said
and walked towards the kitchen.
I set the cookies and two glasses of orange juice on the table
then I took a place on the couch beside her.
"Riya, it's not my first time me visiting your apartment. I
don't think these formalities are still needed." I suppressed my lips to
prevent let out a sob.
"I'm sorry, Riya. If you are not comfortable with me staying
here, I will leave." I shook my head. "No need to say sorry Juliet,
it's not your fault and I'm glad you are here for me." I said with a
grumbled voice.
