Bad News

Auriel sat neatly in front of Adrian and Jason, her eyes staring lazily at Jason who smiled mischievously at her. She don't know what he's doing here so early, because he should be working in his own office — after all he's the president and CEO of his family company.

"What is he doing here?" her hand pointed at Jason with the annoyed look she threw at Adrian

A lazy sigh escaped Jason's mouth "sweetheart, you don't have to be that rude on this sunny morning" he whined annoyingly

Typical Jason.

"Don't sweetheart me, Jason" she hissed and folded her arms across her chest "you're wasting your time here, you should have done your job"

“I made my secretary doing my work for the next five hours” he replied with a satisfied laugh coming out of his mouth

She shook her head — Jason had never learned from his experience, previously he was punished for abandoning his responsibilities and ordered his secretary to do all the work while he wandered around looking for property he wanted

It was true that from the start he didn't want to take over the family company and become an architect, unfortunately he was an only child which he inevitably had to take over his family company. That's why, even though he was now the company's president and CEO, he still acted like this.

"You want to be punished by your father again?"

“Oh, of course not — I have good reason to be able to get out and leave my job even if only temporarily and that is thanks to you” he winked mischievously at her.

"What do you mean?" she asked confusedly and turned to look at Adrian

Adrian sighed softly and then the two men looked at each other with incomprehensible looks — it made her even more confused because she didn't know anything or what happened here.

“I know you have a relationship with Castiel Berkshire” Jason and Adrian looked at her seriously — as if judging her who she thought that she had not doing something wrong

“The car that brought you along with the driver is also the one of his men” Adrian added in a slightly frustrated tone — or maybe she heard it wrong?

“I don't have any relationship with him, really — you both know, I don't know him” she said honestly — she is not in official relationship with Castiel, she didn't know what name they were going by now. That man just said 'you're mine' to her without giving a clear status "I'm speaking the truth"

Once again, they looked at each other again — it made her sigh in frustration, she really didn't like this. Adrian and Jason wasting her time on something important than this kind of interrogation —she wanted to work on the paperwork piled up on her desk and also organize Adrian's daily and weekly schedule.

"You're wasting my time" she said curtly and leaned her body comfortably on the sofa "I have work piled up on my desk"

She has more responsibilities than sitting down and is happily interrogated by her two male friends — between her work and friends, the most important is her work. But if she left now, she probably wouldn't get away with Jason's long lecture later — so annoying.

"Then what do you have with him?" Adrian asked coldly sent her chill down to her spine "If you don't have a relationship with him, then what?"

Her head shook lazily "I don't have anything with him" she replied quickly "also I don't know what he is up to"

Castiel didn't explain anything to her — he gave her attention, pampered her, flooded her with luxuries and even bought her a mansion. On top of that he also gave her a chauffeur — Castiel gave her what she didn't ask for and wanted, but she had to pay for everything he gave with the freedom she had.

Because the man was already in control of her life even though she didn't know what his purpose was to approach her and do all that — even at first he did it by hiding his identity, until he finally revealed himself and claimed her as his in the nightclub.

"I really don't know what he wants from me" she said almost in frustration "he showers me with expensive things I didn't even ask for, pampers me, and cares about me so much — but I don't know what he wants from me, neither do I know why he treats me so special”

Her confession made them both gasp with wide eyes, their lips slightly parted — as if they had no idea what they had just heard. But she didn't care, they urged her to give them an answer and she gave it even though it wasn't something they wanted to hear

Auriel got up from the sofa and walked to the door, intending to go out and do the work piled up on her desk right now — unfortunately her energy was draining so fast today, besides the feeling anxiety entered her head without permission.

"You should stay away from him" Adrian said suddenly before she managed to turn the doorknob, causing her to freeze where she was standing with cold sweat dripping down her face.

She knew that Castiel was bad news and what is worse was that she wouldn't be able to stay away from him since that night, she could never stay away from him.
