My eyes widen at the sudden realization, no wonder it tasted salty. My heart breaks at his affection and I remember those beautiful eyes as they shed tears. Those eyes shed tears. I wish I could hold him but I'm being held here.

My tears flow and his mouth gapes in astonishment, he caresses my cheek and wipes them away,

"I'm sorry, I'm making you cry" he laughs a little and rubs his arm against his face, "I'll have to be strong just like you are"

I feel lips press against mine and my eyes widen in shock. Is he kissing me?

He pulls his face away from mine and a pang of sudden guilt floods his heart, "I shouldn't have done that" images of my unconscious body flashes through his mind, it's become a nightmare for him.

He places his head on my arm drifts to sleep. His eyes slowly open to fingers playing in his hair, he looks at the window and sees the moon and her sisters playing around. He turns to the owner of such delicate fingers and he melts at an enchanting smile,

"Mom what are you doing here?" He rubs the sleep off his eyes,

"I came to see you and Eris" she looks at my body, "your dad told me everything. I really hope she gets better soon" her eyes show concern,

"I know she will, she's already moving," he says proudly and Ava smiles, "but aren't you supposed to be on set?"

"We finished early" she says with half a smile,

"The truth" he could see through her,

"I got the news after a scene and I just really wanted to make sure you both were alright so I explained everything and they let me go" a heavy sigh escapes her lips, she sees the golden crucifix and she smiles, "you gave it to her?" She points out,

"Yeah, I knew it would help her heal faster just like how it worked for you when you broke your leg on a shoot" he grins and she laughs,

"That was clearly your dad's fault, they teased me for a whole month just because of it" she laughs again, "but I did start to feel better immediately I wore it. Maybe it has healing powers" she jokes,

"I don't know but it definitely helps. She moved her hand and even smiled. It's working mom and I'm glad I bought it. It's worth every penny" he relaxes his back on the chair,

"Christmas was hard for you" she reminds him,

"Yeah" they both laugh out loud and a small smile forms on my lips, "look mom she's smiling!" He inches closer to me and so does Ava,

"Blessings upon her. She really is strong, I'm just sad that someone could do this to her. She isn't even a bad kid" Ava couldn't understand,

"Mom, the world is cruel. If you're upright and honest, then the world sees you as bad" he sighs wearily,

"You need to come home dear" she encloses his hand in hers, "for food and rest"

He looks at me for confirmation and my eyes squint, he sighs and grabs our phones, "okay mom" he looks at my body once more, "bye Eris" he pecks me and heads out with his mother.

It's Wednesday and Lilac Ash storms the school yet again with her exorbitant dressing making every girl wish to be like her. Not only is her dressing glamorous so is her makeup, but she also tends to impress Daylon with it.

She sights him and strolls over to him giving him a big hug, he returns the gesture but with little effort and puts on a weak smile,

"I see you're happy today" he pinches her nose gently and she blushes,

"Well I am happy to see you looking good" she compliments him with a smile and Daylon looks quizzical,

"Oh you mean this old thing" he points to the expensive crucifix he had hanging on his neck but not as precious as the one he gifted me,

"And the watch" she points to the diamond-encrusted time bearing machine on his wrist,

"Mom said I should wear it, I don't like wearing it unless it's important" he shrugs as he leans on his locker. Lilac thought he looked so hot like that but she controls herself,

"You should always look good! Like I do" she flips her hair dramatically and he chuckles lightly,

"And like you always will" he pulls her cheeks and her blush deepens,

"But I'm still not happy" she pouts with arms crossed,

"And why is that?!" He's surprised at the sudden change of emotion,

"We don't hang out like we used to anymore. I miss the times you would come steal me from my window and take me to dinner" she whines and Daylon laughs,

"Lilac we were childish then, you know what your mom's like" he laughs,

"So you won't come to steal me this night? Such a friend!" She goes into dramatic mode,

"Okay okay, what time?" He rolls his eyes with a smirk,

"10 pm?" Her eyes sparkle,

"Well" he throws the figure in his head for a while, "okay fine, 10 pm it is" he gives in and they walk to class with his hand around her waist.

Just like he used to. Her feelings escalated bursting through the roof. No Eris and Daylon is hers. A dream come true.

But she notices that Victor hasn't been in school since last Friday, she needed to talk to the good for nothing who couldn't do anything properly.

She ends a class and goes somewhere quiet to touch up her makeup, she hears a bell and she picks her phone up while applying some pink lipstick,

Victor: hey Lilac, sorry this is coming late but I just want to thank you for the little birthday present you sent me . Means a lot.

Her face cringes not understanding what he meant, she tries to figure it out and that's when a body drops beside her,

"Did you get my message?" Victor whispers to her and she's startled,

"Yes I did, what the hell is it?" She looks at her phone,

"Just reply nicely and put your phone down" he commands and she obeys.

She turns to look at him and sees scratches on the right side of his face that were healing,

"What happened to your face?!" She's scared,

"Eris did this, that's what happened" he shrugs off and opens the message she just sent not even glancing at it,

"I asked you to do one simple thing and you couldn't even do it—" the bell rings and she packs her makeup kit, "we'll discuss this later" she leaves with her head held high and Victor follows not long.
