PART 6 ~ FAREWELL ON THE FIRST DAY OF MARRIAGE

"Okay, after this I have some work to do, and it's quite important. Can I bring Briel now?" Erland asked while looking at his parents and Briel's parents.

They nodded. Briel hugged Clara and Bram at the same time. Bram and Clara also landed a kiss on Briel's cheek. Seeing that, Erland took a deep breath. He was sure Briel was a spoiled woman and would trouble him later.

No words left Bram's lips, he just told Briel to be careful and not to be rash. Briel doesn't know, maybe Bram is still disappointed with Briel?

Yes, Briel felt that way. However, Briel didn't say anything and followed Erland into the car. After that, Erland's car drove and left the Church.

*** In The trip.

Erland drove his car at a slow speed, making Briel feel irritated.

"Hey, if you can't drive, you better get out of the way! Let me drive!" said Briel, annoyed.

Erland looked at Briel, and after that he ignored Briel. He didn't respond to Briel's words.

"Are you suddenly mute, ha?" asked Briel, increasingly annoyed.

Erland fell silent again. She don't know what Erland was thinking.

"Very weak," said Briel quietly but still audible in Erland's ears.

Hearing what Briel said made Erland feel like Briel was mocking him.

"What do you mean?" Erland asked while looking at Briel.

"Yes, you are weak. Even a sissy is better than you!" Briel pouted.

"Hey! What are you doing?" shouted Briel when Erland suddenly grabbed her hand.

"Watch your mouth! Or I'll throw you out right now!" Erland said while looking at Briel sharply.

Briel threw Erland's hand away when a car behind them honked.

'Oh, he's so strong. It makes my hands hurt,' thought Briel as she grabbed the wrist that Erland had grabbed earlier.

Briel turned her head, she saw Erland who was also looking at her.

"See what? Just focus on driving!" Briel was annoyed that Erland kept staring at her even if only for a moment and looked back at the front of the road.

'This woman is! She was too rude to be in the world of women. I suspect that this woman is the incarnation of a thug,' Erland thought.

The two were silent and neither spoke. Briel nodded her head because she was listening to music on her mobile phone using headphones.

Until time passed and the car driven by Erland arrived in the courtyard of a two-story house that looks minimalist but has a modern European-style design.

Erland stopped his car in front of a garage, took off his seat belt and his eyes accidentally saw Briel who was sleeping this time.

Erland ignored Briel and got out of the car. Before that, he didn't turn off the car engine and let Briel sleep. He was reluctant to wake Briel. He was sure that if he woke Briel, it would be the same as waking up a lioness. Briel would give him a headache.

Erland called the security guard at his residence after he got out of the car.

"Yes, Sir?" said the security guard named Suryoto.

"In the car, there is a woman. Starting today, she will stay here. Please watch over her until she wakes up. I opened the car window. She is sleeping now, don't let her when she wakes up later, and she messed up this house!" Erland reminded me.

Suryoto looked at Erland's car, he saw a woman sleeping in the front passenger seat. However, Suryoto was surprised. Why didn't his mister just wake the woman up? After all, who exactly is that woman? thought Suryoto.

Erland entered his residence and Suryoto followed Erland's orders. He took a chair and sat from a distance while watching the woman sleeping in Erland's car. Yes, Briel is still sleeping and hasn't woken up yet. She was too relaxed because of the music playing in her ears.

Inside Erland's house, to be precise, in Erland's bedroom.

Erland entered his dressing room. He took off the coat he was wearing and put it on the hanger. After that, he rolled up his sleeves to his elbows and entered the bathroom. Erland washes his hands and pees.

After finishing his activities, he returned to his bedroom and took his mobile phone. He called someone.

'Hello,' said Erland.

'Hello, sir,' said the person who was none other than a woman.

'How about preparing for this afternoon?' Erland asked.

'It's done, you're ready to travel this afternoon, sir. Your plane is at 17:15 West Indonesia Time, from Soekarno-Hatta Airport," said the woman.

The woman's name was Sherin. She was none other than Erland's private secretary in the office.

'Okay, send the office driver this afternoon. I'll go to the airport in the office car,' Erland said.

'Yes sir. As per your request,' said Sherin.

The call ended.

Erland thought of Briel. He hopes Briel doesn't make a mistake while he's away on business.

Yes, Erland is going on a business trip for eight days abroad. This plan was arranged long before Erland met and got into trouble with Briel.

Erland approached his bedroom window, he saw his car in the garage. The windshield of the car was still open, meaning that Briel was still sleeping in the car.

Erland ignored her, he rushed to prepare everything he needed for his business trip including some important files. On his business trip this time, he just went alone and didn't take Sherin with him. Sherin was assigned to do all office work only and provide information in the office to Erland during Erland's business trip.

***

Three in the afternoon.

Erland came out of his residence while dragging a medium-sized suitcase.

Erland's gaze fell on the sound that came quite loudly, and it looked like Briel had gotten out of the car. Briel was awake. Erland and Briel's steps were getting closer.

"Why didn't you wake me up?" said Briel annoyed.

Briel is annoyed. Yes of course. How not? Briel was surprised when she woke up and saw a security guard watching her. She didn't know what her expression looked like when she was sleeping. Briel thought the security guard must have seen her sleeping expression.

Erland ignored Briel, he just passed Briel. He would approach the office car parked in his yard with an office driver standing waiting for him.

"Erland!" Briel shouted then made Erland stop his steps.

Erland then turned around and approached Briel. The two of them were now only two steps away. Close enough.

"You are free to do whatever you want in this house, you are free to go anywhere, and I don't care about that! But, one thing you must remember! Don't ever interfere with my private life!" Erland said.

Briel smiled.

"I don't even care about anything to do with you! Don't ever bother me either! Otherwise, you'll know the consequences! You know, I can do anything to take revenge on anyone who dares to bother me! And, one more thing. Never touch me, or I'll make you regret it, and you'll never be able to wake up again!" said Briel threatening Erland.

Erland sighed. He turned around and didn't say anything else. He handed his suitcase to the driver and got into the car.

'Yes, just go! better not to come back,' murmured Briel and hurried into Erland's house.
