PART 8 ~ AN IDEA

Evening.

The taxi carrying Briel arrived at her parents' house just as her parents were enjoying dinner at the dinner table. It was a sweet sight to see her parents sitting together at such a large dining table as if the world was as wide as this, but they were the only occupants.

Briel approached her parents.

"You here, Briel? Where's Erland?" Clara asked.

"Hmm... Runaway" answered Briel carelessly.

"What do you mean?" asked Bram.

Briel smiled, showing her teeth.

"Maybe he went to work," said Briel, and Briel sat down at the table.

"Really? So are you going to sleep here?" Clara asked.

"May I?" Briel asked.

"Why not? But, have you talked to Erland? I mean, did you get his permission?" mother asked.

Briel raised one eyebrow.

"No permission needed, I just took my clothes. Look, I have to wear the monster's clothes because I didn't bring a change of clothes when I came to his house," said Briel.

Briel's parents looked at each other, and the mother smiled.

"Your husband, not a monster," said the mother.

Briel smiled and went to her room. She looked at every corner of the bedroom.

"I'm going to miss my bedroom," said Briel as she slowly entered her room. She saw a fairly large painting on the wall which was none other than a work that she deliberately made because she admired the figure she was painting who was none other than a man.

"I'll take you wherever I go, don't worry. Okay," said Briel with a smile and hurried to get her suitcase.

She didn't put her clothes in the suitcase first, but Briel first prepared some painting supplies such as canvases, drawing supplies, paint trays, painting brushes, and other painting supplies. She would carry her painting equipment with her wherever she went. What's more, she would stay in the Erland residence for a long time, maybe even forever. She didn't know, only time would tell.

Briel put her index finger to her lips. She thought about the painting equipment she might have left in her bedroom.

'I guess that's all,' mumbled Briel and this time picked up her suitcase.

Briel took some of her clothes and put them in the suitcase. She packed up the other things she also needed until time passed and it was getting late.

'It's like moving house, I'm so tired,' Briel mumbled, then covered her mouth while yawning from the drowsiness that assaulted her.

Briel threw herself on the bed and fell asleep.

*** In Briel's parents' bedroom.

"Briel is still packing her clothes. She hasn't said goodbye to us yet," Clara said.

"Hmm... I will look at Briel," said Bram.

"I'm coming with you. I want to see how much she'll bring," Clara said.

Bram nodded and went to Briel's room with Clara.

Arriving at Briel's bedroom, Bram and Clara saw that Briel's bedroom was a mess. Near the bed were Briel's suitcase and other painting supplies that didn't fit in the bag because they were too big.

"She's asleep," Clara said, looking at Briel who was fast asleep.

"Leave it alone, she must be tired after packing her things," said Bram.

Clara nodded, she turned and looked at Bram.

"You haven't explained anything about why you immediately agreed to marry Briel to Erland, Bram," said Clara.

Bram sighed.

"I don't need to explain anything," said Bram and hurried out of Briel's room.

Clara was silent for a moment. She was not satisfied because Bram didn't explain anything, so her curiosity didn't get an answer either.

Clara approached Briel, she took the blanket and covered Briel's body. After that, she replaced the bedroom lamp with a dimmer night light.

Clara came out of Briel's bedroom.

*** Next morning.

Briel blinked her eyes. She looked at the ceiling of her room and realized that he fell asleep last night after packing her things to take to the Erland residence.

Briel sat for a moment and looked at the things she had packed last night.

Briel stretched the muscles in her body, after which she cleaned herself up in the bathroom.

*** A few minutes passed, Briel was refreshed and ready to take her painting equipment out of her bedroom. Once out of the bedroom, Briel saw a housemaid pass in front of her bedroom.

"Hey! Please take my suitcase, and my painting supplies, take them to the garage, okay? But remember. Be careful when carrying it, don't get it damaged," said Briel.

The housemaid nodded and entered Briel's bedroom. Meanwhile, Briel first went to the garage and put what she had brought into her car. She would take the car to the Erland residence to facilitate his activities while traveling. She wasn't used to taking taxis like last night. She prefers to travel in her car if no one forces her to take a taxi.

Not long after, the housemaid carrying Briel's belongings arrived at the garage and helped load everything into the car.

After finishing, while heating the car engine, Briel rushed into her parents' house and looked for her parents' whereabouts.

Briel asked the housemaid where her parents were, and the housemaid once said that Clara was in the back garden. Briel goes to the back garden to meet Clara.

"Mom!"

Clara turned her head, she smiled at Briel.

"How was last night? You must be so tired, you fell asleep," Clara said.

"Hmm... I'm leaving now. Has Dad gone to work?" asked Briel.

"Yeah, it's been since morning," Clara said.

"Okay, I'm going," Briel said and hugged Clara.

Clara also escorted Briel to her car. She returned to her residence after the car driven by Briel came out of the courtyard of her residence.

On the way, Briel plays her favorite singer's song. She was driving her car very leisurely. Luckily her painting school was only held three times a week and today he didn't have to go to painting school.

That morning the streets were quite busy. Briel passed a shop selling painting supplies under the name of the shop she used to go to when buying painting supplies. It's just, different store branches but still in the same company group.

Briel was also thinking of buying something she needed at this time, she drove her car and entered the shop area.

After finished parking her car, Briel rushed out of the car.

'I'll make myself happy with what I love, I don't want my days to go by boredom,' Briel muttered and entered the shop enthusiastically.
