PART 78

"Em... Can I ask a question?" asked Gerald.

"Yes? Does it feel like something is bad?" asked Briel curiously.

"Hmm..." Gerald fell silent as he looked at Briel.

"The taste in this stir-fry is fine, you cook well. But, I wonder, why are you learning to cook? Isn't there a housekeeper in your house?" asked Gerald.

Briel smiled.

"It's a secret," said Briel, mocking Gerald.

"Hem... Alright, you're playing secrets with me, even though I'm your cooking teacher," said Gerald, looking a little annoyed.

"Come on, Why not if I want to learn to cook?" asked Briel.

"It's okay, I'm just surprised," said Gerald.

"Em... For an emergency, this might be useful for me," said Briel.

"Okay, your answer is not enough to satisfy me, but a woman will get married later. It's not bad to learn to cook. Maybe, once in a while, your husband will want to eat your cooking," said Gerald with a smile.
