"Why are you crying?" asked Erland when he sat down and looked at Briel with his face right above Briel's.

"It's okay, I'm just a little surprised," said Briel. Briel's gaze shifted to her side.

Erland took a deep breath, after which he forced Briel to look at him.

"Thank you," Erland said and gave Briel a quick peck on the lips. He lay back down and pulled Briel into his arms.

There was no rejection from Briel, even so, Briel was silent without hugging Erland in return.

"Are you tired? Do you want a drink?" Erland asked.

"Yes, I'm very thirsty," said Briel.

Erland chuckled. He released Briel from his embrace.

"Wait for me!" Erland said and put on his pants and t-shirt. He rushed out of the bedroom and down to the kitchen.

Lely was seen sitting at the dining table in the kitchen.
