Chapter 39

He held onto Brooke tightly as they made their way to the private plane. He kept kissing the top of her head and rubbing her shoulder. He had his arm around her waist and his free hand held all of her clothes. His own suitcase had been delivered earlier.

Brooke's voice wavered as she spoke, "We-we don't have to go through a… c-customs?" She asked, not making eye contact with him.

"No," He said as he placed another kiss on her head, "This is the Pack's private plane, you don't have to worry."

"I-I get motion sickness, I don't know how it will be on the plane. My mom, who's motion sickness is ten times worse than mine, sh-she's told me horror stories about the few times she's been in plane and how awful it was." Her voice was rising with every word she said, and it sounded like she was near hyperventilating.

Raphael stopped and stood in front of her, he waited for her to raise her eyes to meet his. She lifted her head slowly and then her eyes. Her brown eyes were wide with fear. He raised his hand to her cheek, "Honey, I'm gonna be with you the entire time, okay." He said tenderly. Her eyes softened and her body seemed to relax a bit.

"Okay." She whispered. They boarded the plane and a Lycan took their luggage. He sat Brooke down in a seat, then sat next to her. He held her hand and stroked it, "As soon as we're in the air you can stand up, okay." She nodded, her eyes trained on the wall in front of her, and her body tense.

The plane began to take off and she clutched the arm of the chair, her eyes closed as she swallowed. He waited till the plane levelled out then he got up and pulled Brooke onto his lap and cradled her. Stroking her head.

Eventually she relaxed then got up and held onto the wall of the cabin. "You okay?" He asked as he got up and steadied her.

"Mmhmm, yep." She said as nodded her head. "I'm gonna change." She turned and her face looked emotionless again. She was hiding her feelings.

"You can change in there." He pointed to the bedroom.

"Okay." She said and grabbed her bags. He watched her retreating figure then she shut the door. He sat down thinking about how he could help Brooke to see how beautiful she was.

He then began making a couple calls and working on a couple things.

I walked into the room. It had a small bed and two windows, there was a small dresser and a mirror. 'Weird.' I thought, 'Wouldn't it be dangerous to have a mirror on the plane.' But I guess since it was just Raph and a few Lycans onboard, I had sensed four Lycans, other than Raphael, when we'd boarded.

I was a little embarrassed about how I'd acted, the plane had been fine so far. I felt a little nauseous, but that was to be expected.

I took my shirt off and looked in the mirror, I looked at my face. It looked nice, if not a little chubby. My breasts were shapely and I did have a curvy waist, I had rolls and a belly. I had large thighs but my calves were nice, I guess. I decided to look away from my reflection. The only thing I knew I liked about myself was my hair and face.

I sat down on the bed and opened the bags. I chose a simple, dark, grey t-shirt, with the words "It's a beautiful day to leave me alone" I had fallen in love with it at first sight. Raph had, of course, been sceptical but he'd still gotten it for me. I'll have to thank him for all of this.

I put on a pair of dark, blue, skinny jeans and a pair of socks. I really wish that I had my grey hoodie with me, but it was back at Raph's house. He'd gotten me this new one, so I put it on. It was black and was thicker than my grey one, but it was still pretty soft on the inside.

I walked out and saw that Raph was sitting on the couch, so I sat down next to him. He looked up from his laptop and smiled, "I just have to finish up one last thing, then we can talk."

I nodded, "Mmkay"

Once he was done he put his arm around me. He had put his arm around me the entire way to the airport, it was very comforting when he did that, I also loved it when he kissed the top of my head.

"So, why don't you tell me about your family." He asked, I looked at his eyes, "Okay." I said. I loved talking about my family so this would be fun.

"Who would you like to start with?"I asked, "There's my mom, my dad, my older sister Judith, my younger sister Ulyssa, and my brother Bradley."

"Why don't we go oldest to youngest." He said. I nodded getting excited, "Okay." I said with a small smile, then bit my lip thinking.

"That would be my dad. He's in his mid-forties, he's a land surveyor but he used to be a cook. He is a little more patient than my mom. And I don't know how he'd react. You see, none of us kids have ever dated before. So I don't know what his reaction will be." Raph listened as I told him about my mom, "My mom and I are closer than I am with my dad. She's really nice, but I have no idea how she'll react too."

"Okay, so the parents are a mystery." Raph said with a smile. Well at least he wasn't worried.

"Now Judith. She's twenty-two, and works as an online tutor. You know… I've never really gotten Judith. She's really quiet and gets headaches and has tendinitis constantly. I'm not a very patient person, especially for people in pain, so I've never really understood her." I always felt ashamed about how I treated Judith at times, but sometimes it felt like she was just making excuses so she wouldn't have to work.

"Next is Bradley." I smiled thinking about him, I know siblings aren't supposed to have favourites, but he's mine. "Brad, always no matter what, can make me laugh. He's seventeen, and around your height actually. He works as a landscaper and part time at a grocery store. I'm not sure how he'll react, he's very protective of all of us, but he's also a people pleaser and hates fights. I'm not sure which way he'll go."

I paused gathering my thoughts for Ulyssa.
