Chapter 7 Getting a dog

Next day at New Amsterdam in Helen's office with Max and Georgia.

Helen:" I'll be targeting your cancer directly with stereotactic body radiotherapy."

Max:" With simultaneos intravenous Cis'Platinum two- cycle regiment.

Helen:" And I may throw in an EGFR inhibitor like cextuximab, depending on how your tumor responds."

Max:" Works for me."

Georgia:" In English please. It sounds very important but, all I care about could he, what are his odds."

Max:"Georgia."

Georgia:" No, Max. I need an awnser from your doctor."

Helen:" Georgia, with cancer, the odds are difficult to quantify. But I believe that this is our very best option."

Georgia:"So why haven't we started already?"

Helen:" Yes Max why haven't we started already?"

Max:" B-Because there's a lot of pre-treatment procedures I still need to get done like, radiation tattoo, oral surgery."

Georgia:" Oral surgery?"

Helen:"Man's back molars will fall into the field of radiation and they'll need to be extracted."

Georgia:" Um, so why haven't we done that yet?"

Because I have been kicking this thing down the road a little bit. To try to buy myself a little more time, you know as medical director. which now that I say that in front of my wife, does not sound like the excuse it sounded like in my head."

Georgia:" Hm you think."

Max:"-yep"

Georgia:" Could he have his molars out today?"

Helen:" That's up to him."

We have the big Domino Transplat today. The run-throughs in 30. I can't if im... But I think i could because once they start, they don't really need me. And I could probably be free as early as tomorrow. Today... Early afternoon."

Georgia:" You're on board."

Max:" Im on board."

Georgia:" Just like that?"

Max:" Just like that."

Reynolds and Evie

Evie:" Domino day"

Reynolds:" Yeah"

Evie:" You excited?"

Reynolds:" um eh. Transplant surgeons get to have all the fun. I don't even get to sing back-up.You knou, I had a really good time last night. And the night before. I hope you did too."

Evie:"Hm"

Reynolds:" What?"

They both laugh.

Evie:" I did"

Reynolds:" I really like where this is going. You know? You and me."

Evie:" You sound so suprised."

Reynolds:" No,no,I,um, I just didn't think I don't know. I don't know what I thought."

Evie:" Well, when Lauren introduced us I had a feeling."

Reynolds:" So,uh, what do you say? We probably shouldn't walk in together, right?"

Evie:" Oh, yeah it's way too soon. I don't know about you, but on our side of the building we're real gossipy." I'll see you later."

They then kiss and Evie walks away.

Iggy

Iggy:" Ooh, science project?"

Jemma:" Yeah, living that extra credit dream."

Iggy:" Yeah, I can see that.:"

Gladys:" Domino run-through. No time for chitchat."

Iggy:" Yes, I know. Do you always have to be a buzzkill?"

Jemma:" How is she being a buzzkill?"

Iggy:" Oh, um well, do you remember how I said I was gonna try to pull some strings for blanca?"

Jemma:" you couldn't do it. Figured."

Iggy:" Mmm, oh you figured, did you?"`Yeah well figure this, my friend at Family Services got Blanca named an Emergency Foster Provider. Boom. She had a site visit this morning. Boom. Guess what else.

Jemma:" Something that ends in Boom?"

Iggy:" Uh, yeah. She passed with flying colors. You got a home."

Jemma:" Really?"

Iggy:"Yes"

Jemma:" They can't take it back?"

Iggy:" No, there are no backsies on this boom. Okay, by this time tomorrow, you're gonna be moving into your brand new digs. Trust me it's good. All right?"

Jemma:"Yeah"

Iggy:" Okay, I better go before I have to relocate. I'll see you later."

Jemma smiles.

Dr.Kapoor is across the street from his sons restaurant and as he see him he decides not to go and turns around.Later everyone is in the office to talk about the transplants happening today. Everyones talking about finding a donor for a liver transplant. I ask if I could be a donor. So they do some test and im a match so the circle is back on. Helen goes to tell Aminahs family that their is a new donor.

I get to meet the family, I then go to the room with the circle I close the doors behind me.

Helen:" Why are you closing the door."

James:" When I show you this promise you wont tell anyone say it or I wont help with the chain."

Max:" Fine I promise."

James:" good"

I then create a liver which is weird to be holding but everyone looks shocked. Well of course I just created a liver

Max:" How did you do that."

James:" I created it, looks like the chain is fixed. Reynolds you needed a lung donor well here."

Max:" Thats great looks like the chain is back together:"

I then head to ginnas hospital room and knock on the door Bloom is on the bed with gianna. I walk in and say.

James(me):" Hello Gianna I got you a new lung so its gonna be fine."

Bloom:" How'd you manage to get a lung so fast."

James:" I've got my ways."

Bloom:" Whats that supossed to mean."

James:" It means I have my ways anyways i'm going to go bye."

Bloom:" Wait thank you"

James:" No problem"

I then leave as I leave New Amsterdam I head back to my clinic I see its kinda busy so I go in to help the people waiting. After I leave as I leave some workers leave as their shift has ended.

Walking home I hear a whimper as I go to see what it is. It's a dog looks like its injured I use healing on it and make dog food to feed it. its a stray dog I take it to the vet after to check if it has any fleas or anything. I plan on adopting the dog so I do best decision ever. I go to sleep on my bed after taking a shower. I decided to name the dog.....
