Upgrading the Arsenal!

*3 Days Later*

The investigation of Fisk's case went as planned. Setting up a scene was a first for both me and Oracle. Bullet holes, marks of RPG, adjusting bodies according to impact, everything was new, but end result was enough to give them a lead. All over US, police have arrested multiple moles in them, with gangs in their areas as well. Causalities in the gunfight were a lot, but extremely low considering it was happening all over the country. But all the raids were a success for them. Fury went completely mad about how much information I was able to provide each department all over the world, since Oracle gave it to them as Queen, so Enigma is officially a S- rank Individual, even above Tony and F4 as they are A- rank. Oracle completely recorded his reaction, and I could feel his brain in turmoil sitting here.

Gwen's dad had a blank face the whole day finding two tied up criminals in front of his office. He didn't even complain back at home, just kept sighing time to time.

Anyway, the FBI decided to let the world know of Fisk's death in the gang war, with official confirmation of X-boosters, everything bad about it of course. They can't tell it's a power drug, that would basically be an advertisement. Not that this will stop the idiots, people don't stop smoking even when they see the cancer warning, after all.

Nord was classified by both FBI and Shield, who have got some data through hacking on a few old servers of the M department, which in reality were completely wiped by Stryker, but Oracle stored our findings in it efficiently. With the proof they have, they are closing on not only Stryker, but Trask and Essex as well. I had her include some pictures of Stryker's diary about him being a religious fanatic, posing him as a madman.

This has already got the attention of all three of them, and they seem to be accelerating their plans. Just what I want. Sublime has yet to make an appearance, but I will erase him once he shows up. Essex is a hard one since he hides his main body and uses clones, plus he is familiar with magic thanks to Selene. I had completely forgot about the Hellfire club, which right now is being run mostly by Emma Frost as the White Queen, also the head of Frost industries. Selene as the Black Queen. Shinobi Shaw, Sebastian's son, as the Black King and Azazel as the White King. Riptide and Tempest are the Bishops. It seems Eric and Charles have already dealt with Sebastian Shaw.

Speaking of X-Men, I never spoke about it's members. They are Robert 'Bobby' Drake, aka Iceman, his girlfriend Clarice Ferguson aka Blink, Piotr Rasputin aka Colossus, Ororo Munroe aka Storm, Armando Muñoz aka Darwin, Henry McCoy aka Beast, Logan aka Wolverine and Charles Xavier aka Professor X.

Scott's elder brother Alexander Summers and Sean Cassidy aka the Banshee have died during the First class, while Mystique deflected towards Magneto, with Angel Salvadore joining the Hellfire Club.

In the comics, Stryker used Kurt to assassinate the president, guess I will have to place magical charms on my friends. Piotr's sister Illyana hasn't developed her powers yet, I have to make sure Belasco stays in line when she does do that. I have no interest in Limbo because of the Time dilation between it and Earth.

After two days of defeating Kingpin, I finally completed one of my projects, Proto-Adamantium. The perfect mixture of Adamantium and Vibranium, what cap's shield is made out of. Mixing with Adamantium makes it a perfect impact absorbent, but unfortunately, it loses most of it's magic conductivity. I now have 3 suits. The base and armored form of all 3 look the same, but their uses are different.

The one I have been wearing till now is The Vibro-adamantine suit. And yes Adamantine, not Adamantium. They are different things. Adamantine is a magic metal developed by Greek gods, you could say this is the real adamantium. It's magic conductivity is very good, not as good as Uru, but still good. I got it from master as a birthday gift. The mixture of both of them makes it my magic-oriented suit. It is still a tank, able to shrug off hits from both Hulk and Juggernaut, but it's excellence lies in magic.

The second suit is made of Anti-metal, hence made for close quarters combat. The runes over it makes it at least half as good as the first suit in magic conductivity. Most runes placed on it are to redirect it's metal melting properties. Don't want Dark Moon or Tony's suit destroyed because of them being near me.

The Third is the mixture of Proto-adamantium, Adamantine, Vibranium and Adamantium combined. An all rounder, but the tankiest of them all. Protium, short for proto-adamantium, is for defense, Adamantium for close quarters, while Adamantine and Vibranium are for magic conductivity. Now this is gonna be my main suit for vigilante stuff.

Right now I finally finished testing all aspects of the suit and sat down on the workbench in the Null-Zone.

'How's the suit Alex?' Oracle asked.

"Perfect, as it should be. We made it after all." I said, still looking at the suit when I heard a notification.

'*DING* Quest-Topple The Empire Complete

"Huh, there is a reward for beating Kingpin's gang but not Hand?" I asked confused.

'You did let Alexandra go.' She said.

"Damn, completely forgot about her. What's she up to now-a-days?" I asked

'She seems to have gone low, even more since she heard of Fisk's death.' She told me.

"Good, if she starts making mummies again, tell me, completing a quest is always welcome. Anyway, use the rare one and keep normal one's for later."

'Using rare coupon...

*DING* Obtained VIII th metal(DC)'

"... You can't be serious" I asked with a blank face.

'Too bad it is.' Oracle said.

"Couldn't you have completed the quest earlier? I could have had it three days ago while making the new suit." I yelled in disbelief.

'Say that to the police, not me' She huffed. I sighed in resignation and let Oracle integrate it into the mines. Looks like my new suit is getting an update before going on field.

*1 week later*

8th metal is something else entirely. But at the same time, it's complicated. It's magic conductivity is amazing, but because of the discharge of magic through atmosphere, it cannot be used in complicated magic circuits. Because of this most metals made by old gods of DC are more power or discharge oriented. No runes, no circuits, just pure power discharge. Main difference between Marvel and DC as Asgardian weapons have complicated runes engraved in them. I won't be able to use 8th in magic circuit's without the 9th metal. But I don't now if the Gacha will hand it to me or not. For now, 8th metal is only used in the Heavy weapon system of the suit, everything else is the same. I gave about 10kg to master as a gift, and she was extremely surprised by it's conductivity, and is experimenting on it herself. It's not daily she sees something surprising, because of the time stone.

Anyway, while Oracle was modifying the suit, I restarted my investigation of the mysterious human trafficker's dealing with Frankenstein's. I was able to get their name. Vincent's. They seemed to have appeared out of nowhere 20 years ago. They probably had the inside people falsify it, and they did a good job, but not perfect. I was still at a roadblock until Oracle showed me Shield had files on them. They seemed to related under file named-Blood Moon. They are labeled as 1 of the 4 head families with many under them, and all agents are prohibited from contacting them. They have images of their faces, but all blurry. Oracle was able to saturate that, but the more freakish ones were of the various ritual circles shown in them, but they were from too far away, even saturating it didn't make the writing visible so I could recognize, but I could see a bloody body in the center. The video they have shows four people surrounding it are probably chanting, when suddenly the body in between started squirming around and it suddenly shot up with a screeching scream.

Damn, Shield is that scared of cultists. Well, I won't blame them after seeing this. Anyone would be scared if they didn't know about magic and see this. But something still feels off about this, I just can't pinpoint.

'That's your Sixth Sense Alex, that's the unsettling feeling I was talking about.' Oracle said.

"Makes sense, but since the feeling is small, it should be manageable." I said. I have a lot of powers in disposal right now. If it becomes too dangerous for the Defenders, then that's the back-up plan.

I have got enough data about them, so it's time to pay a visit myself.

*Defender's Base*

" There has been increase in drug activity on Staten Island, so 1 team will be going there, while the other team will go with me investigating the transaction Vincent is going to attend." After discussing our daily activities, we decided to head out. DD and Electra are on break today, so Nightclaw will be handling Hell's Kitchen with Silk, while Phoenix and Katana will be going to Staten island to investigate the gangs. I will be heading out with Iron Fist and Arachnid to investigate the Vincent's while Spiderman and Ghost Spider will be going to the daily patrol with Queen's help. 1 jet always stays standby in both, the Spider and Defender's base, just in case anyone needs a quick lift from Queen.

The three of us got seated in the New version of the Bat. It has space for 8 people to sit in, which can transform into holding cells as well, with a complete revamp of the Weapon system thanks to Proto-adamantium and 8th metal. It's size only looks a little bigger, courtesy of space compression tech and nanobots.

Shield has named it Nightowl, because of it making no sound while flying. I prefer Nighthawk or just Bat, but whatever. I had to change the headlight's design a bit to make it look like a owl staring from the darkness.

On that note, the fans actually named my bike X-cycle. I actually decided to make it my symbol, like Red-X, so now the left chest of my uniform has a red X on it, along with my belt and the backside of my gauntlets. I added it to the sides of X-cycle and Nightowl as well. I mean, Batman has his symbol all over his toys, why not me? Sorry X-Men, I'm just gonna rip off.

During my monologue, we reached the area owned by Lester's. They were the ones who contacted Ichor Vincent, the current head of Vincent family. I got this information from DD since finding about them online was not working. Sometimes, old ways are the best. Though this also increases chances of it being a trap, but that can be dealt with. The scan shows 47 people in the area. 15 in containers, so victims. 7 from Vincent's side. Ichor, his son Cruor and five guards. The rest 22 are on Lester's side. 15 normal guards, 5 metahumans and the 2 being Isaac, the family head, and his son Jaime.

I did notice however that the Ichor frowned a bit during the magic scan, but said nothing. Good thing I didn't use the full body scan on them. My intuition is getting sharper thanks to sixth sense.

"We have 15 normal guards, 5 metahumans. but it seems these Vincent's aren't human either." I said sitting in the cockpit watching the scene through a stealth drone.

"What do you mean NOT human?" Arachnid asked raising an eyebrow.

"Not sure. you saw the video of their cult ritual, we could be dealing with magic or even alien tech. So be careful at all times." I said.

"The world keeps getting stranger and stranger." IF said.

"You're gonna see things that will make this seems like a fairytale from kids book, so don't lose your cool at all costs." I said, getting a nod from them. Well, time to get some answers!
