She's changed.
You can see it in her eyes.
Feel it in her touch.
Hear it in her tone.
She's not the same and she's never coming back.

"Hi, Apple," Brian called her name, raising his hand in a friendly manner.
This was not something common to have Brian greet you, especially if he waited for you with an umbrella in his hand, just like a kind and loving brother, who worried about their little sister. Damn, he was far from it.
Apple frowned, she glanced at him briefly as if she didn't know him and then continued walking away since rain was pouring down rather heavily and she was drenched already.
This was a good thing that her bag was waterproof, so she could worry-free about her book.
"Hey, don't ignore me." Brian caught up with Apple and put the umbrella over her head to protect her from the rain. "Why do you avoid me?"
But, this kind of gesture only made Apple cringe. There must be something wrong with his change of attitude.
"Should I laugh at you instead?" Apple commented sarcastically. She used to talk this way with them, thus hearing one of the siblings speak in a different tone alerted her.
"Why do you move away from me? Come closer, so I can cover you," Brian said and insisted on putting the umbrella over Apple's head too, but she wriggled from his clutches.
The cold rain was more comforting for Apple right now than being with this guy.
Just like the day Apple met Drustan, this alley was empty, as rarely people would choose this path.
"Come here!" Brian's pretense cracked as he shouted to Apple, who kept struggling to free herself from his grip. It was proof that patience was not this young man's forte. "Why are you being difficult, bitch!?"
"Fuck off, Brian!" Apple cursed at him and tried to kick his knees, but he dodged it swiftly. "Stay away from me!"
"How dare you have an attitude when I am being nice?!" Brian roared angrily and because Apple kept struggling, he lost his grip on the umbrella that he held, and as soon as it dropped to the ground, heavy rain was pouring down on him. "Bitch!"
Brian was angry because he was drenched and it ruined his appearance. Therefore, when the anger consumed him, the only way that he could think was violence, he raised his hand, and was about to slap Apple hard.
However, Apple had seen it coming. He had coped with their attitude for years. She would be an idiot if she didn't learn one or two things for her own good.
As a result, instinctively, Apple raised both of her arms for her defense against the blow, to protect her face. But still, it was very painful when Brian's big and strong hand landed on her arms.
Apple stumbled a little bit and when she saw a rather big rock, she snatched it very quickly. Thus, when Brian came to her again, she swung the rock to his forehead.
Brian didn't expect that Apple would fight him so hard, hence he didn't anticipate this move. Only when he felt excruciating pain and the blood trickled down from his head, he saw the rough rock in Apple's hand.
Both of them stared at each other, shocked and speechless.
Brian indeed didn't do anything bad to her… yet. But, if you were in Apple's shoes, you would know if you followed him, the situation would end up more horrible than this.
"You stupid WENCH!" Brian screeched. "You hit me with a rock?! Do you want to kill me?!"
Apple didn't answer, and thanks to Brian's loud voice, it helped Apple to snap out of her frozen mind and started running away from this alley.
"Where are you going, bitch!? Come here!" Brian shouted indignantly, as he was hot on his heel to chase after his cousin.
Apple did the opposite, she ran as fast as she could while thinking she was going to lock her bedroom door and block it with the cabinet, table, or everything that she could find inside her room so no one would come.
And tomorrow, she would go to school early in the morning, even before anyone woke up or Marry returned from her night shift.
Apple was a good runner, as she had been practicing for half of her life, but she couldn't dodge three men that jumped on her from the dark corner, before Apple could reach the end of the alley, catching her out of the guard.
"Aargh!" Apple screeched when her body fell to the solid ground and it tore her jacket and scratched her skin. However, she didn't have time to whine, as she immediately stood up and faced her attacker.
In front of Apple, there were three men, around Brian's age, surrounding her with an ugly smirk on their ugly faces, while Brian was approaching them, out of breath.
"You are dead, bitch!" Brian cursed breathlessly, he bent his body and supported her with her hands on his knees. "You shouldn't make things difficult for me!"
"Cut the crap!" One of the men cut Brian's rant, as he pointed his index finger at Apple, who was using the wall behind her to stand. "This is the girl that you said?"
"Yes, yes," Brian said impatiently, he waved his hand. "You can take her, no one will know. No one care about her."
"All right then," the man said, shrugging his shoulders, as he gave the other two men to make a move on Apple.
"With this, I have paid half of my debts, right?" Brian wanted to make sure about the deal between them.
"Sure, sure," the man spoke rather ardently, couldn't wait to have his hand on Apple.
In that alley, where the rain was still pouring down heavily, aside from the five people there, there was another man, who was watching them from the dark.
"What should I do?" Dorian asked Drustan through the phone call that he made.
