the fight of Vengeance and Pride

Momotaro and Ishtar ran through the streets and back allies of Eden. They were blinding and repetitive to look at from the point of view of the two teenagers. They ran until they saw a giant building with a statue of a book at the entrance.

''Didn't Richard say that Emma and Danny went to the library?''

Ishtar asked.

''If you forgot, you were the only one who talked to Richard earlier''

Momotaro answered.

The police were closing in on them and they could see a large figure standing in front of two small figures at the entrance to the building.

Momotaro unsheathed his sword while running and was ready to strike an opponent if it was needed.

''Hey Momotaro, be ready to stop those copes behind you!''

Danny screamed at Momotaro. The moment he heard Danny, Momotaro switched the direction he was facing and he was ready to face against the armored angels that were heading his way.

It was just after Michael's unannounced appearance that Danny saw Momotaro and the dead Baal kid's sister?! With him, Danny was also able to see an army of angels that were chasing them, so Danny decided to tell Momotaro to hold them off for the time being until he would kill Michael.

'With the amount of shit I can see maybe there actually is something special with my eyes'

Danny thought jokingly and redirected his stare back to his angry uncle.

''DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME?''

Michael yelled in anger.

Danny handed the four books to Emma and whispered in her ear, after he did that he faced against Michael with his eyes glowing brighter than ever and his magic aura weaker than ever.

That whisper meant a lot to Emma, it meant he actually trusted her in a fight. The most important person in her life truly did trust her.

The moment Danny whispered ''I need you to search in those books what is Michael's gift''

And after that, he just left her to do it while he will hold Michael back.

Emma searched as much as she could but it took her a few minutes to read through the many pages that described each gift and its known users.

Michael swung his left hand at Danny.

Danny dodged the attack by running to the side.

''Why don't you use your real power?''

Danny asked while trying to taunt Michael into using his magic.

''Believe it or not but my physical strength is more than enough to destroy you and all you love!''

Michael replied.

''Yea but you are talking about how I should be afraid but you are using less magic than me''

Danny said.

''So be it, I am Michael the angel who was gifted by our lord and creator, and I will destroy you with my true power! The gift of god's muscles''

Michael yelled and then his muscles grew even more and he looked like the strongest bodybuilder in the world. He emanated strength and killing intent but since his magic was in his muscles Danny couldn't manipulate it.

''Seriously? I get the ability to counter all magic abilities and my first enemy is one of the very few who are like me and their magic can't be manipulated!''

Danny cried out loud and Michael laughed.

''You thought that you can beat me with such a WEAK power? How pitiful?''

Michael said with a smug smile on his face.

''The bastard loses but really who thought otherwise? You are a failure. I'm genuinely feeling sick from thinking about you piece of trash being my nephew''

Michael said as his fist reached towards Danny but then... an invisible wall appeared out of nowhere and blocked the punch.

''You forgot that there is tons of magic in the air I can manipulate, didn't you?''

Danny said with a sadistic look on his face. His voice was also different and he acted like he was possessed or something.

''Damn you bastard!''

Michael yelled at him as he was ready to lend another fist.

''The only thing that me being a bastard has to do with this, is that no matter how much trash I am, I am still your brother's son even if it is against my will, and my father IS stronger than you''

Danny said as he created a glowing sword in midair and was ready to strike, in under a second Michael died, decapitated without his head. All that was left were the copes and against them, Danny manipulated the magic released out of Michael's dead body to shoot an absolutely devastating blast. The street wasn't as bright anymore and the architecture was unrecognizable.

Even though the battle was over, Danny still didn't regain consciousness and he just stood still in the same spot.

''Momotaro grab him, we need to the castle asap''

Emma said with a distressed look on her face.

'It is just like back then but this time until he regains consciousness I can't heal him'

Emma thought to herself as she looked at Danny's body lying on the bed.

It has been two weeks and Danny still did not wake up.

''What is god doing to him?''

Momotaro asked.

''What do you mean?''

Ishtar asked as the both of them were also looking at Danny.

''In the middle of the battle, he lost control, started acting like he was possessed, and used magic control to a level I have never seen before. Except if this was god himself who took control over his body, I don't know what was it''

Momotaro explained.

I used my magic control to trap my contuse in this gift and the moment a new owner truly unlocks the true meaning of control, I am awakened but I have to say that you are young and untrained in comparison to the last twenty six users who were able to unlock the full potential of this gift. The creatures who claimed to be the first owner of god's eyes said with a nice deep voice.

''What do you want to talk about?''

Danny asked, and was afraid to hear the answer.

''What is your goal? At the moment when you got this power, I was able to sense three other powers that were free. The only people, who get this power, are people who have an incredible destiny. So why did YOU get this power?''

The first user asked.

''My goal is to make my brother the next demon king and just live a life where everyone would know my superiority and give silence''

Danny answered, he said the same things he always said and did not think he lied but...

''Why do you lie? I can see your mind and well... what you say is what you believe to be true but your subconscious says otherwise. I will release you but you have to find your true goal or you will never truly control this power, and this would be ironic, a demon who wants POWER and CONTROL who got the POWER of CONTROL can't truly CONTROL his own POWER. Quite hilarious, isn't it?''

The first owner said and with a chuckle, everything turned black but it also felt controllable again.

Danny opened his eyes and the first person he saw was Emma.

''I beat him and proved my strength just as our deal said, so what do you say about my payment?''

Danny asked jokingly and Emma kissed him.

Three days later Danny was able to work again and with that news, Momotaro gave him the newspaper Danny missed when he was unconscious.
