At this moment, slouched over a corner seat in the library, one of Mark's clones was sitting reading a large book named 'Monster encyclopaedia'. It might sound like quite an ordinary name, however its importance was incredible.
This book contained a majority of basic creatures around the district and even many creatures around the continent.
*BANG*
Suddenly, the clone was drawn away from it's thoughts by a sudden loud noise. It looked over and saw a flying figure retreating backwards before finally coming to a stop.
As the shadow rolled along the floor to a stop, it revealed a dishevelled figure dressed in a long silk robe with short cut hair, but their fine cut features made it difficult to distinguish whether they were a boy or girl. However they were incredibly young, only around 14 or 15 years old.
But the figure didn't even have time to rest before a man flew out from behind a bookshelf and threw a fist towards the figure.
The air twisted around the fist as it held immense power.
''This is a warrior?!'' The clone couldn't help but exclaim as he watched.
The figure quickly rolled out of the way causing the fist to embed itself deep into the concrete walls.
''Brother why are you attacking me ?'' The figure said with tears in their eyes. The distress was visible on their faces.
''You offended Young Master Chen.'' The man said, shaking his head in dismay.
It was only then that the clone looked close enough to realise that these people were Asian. However that wasn't unexpected, since the continent had been merged many families migrated between various different cities.
When the figure heard the man's reply their body visibly shook and their eyes showed clear fear.
''Don't worry the young master doesn't want you dead, he just wants you to lay in bed for a while.'' The man said as he walked closer towards, his face showed a creepy smile as he walked closer.
The figure realised that they couldn't talk sense to the man so they pushed their body up and bounded towards the exit.
The clone had no intention to help, one reason was because it's strength was only that of an ordinary person while the other was that he didn't know the figure.
However he decided to follow along, after all it was the first time that he had seen a warrior fighting and there was a large crowd so he wouldn't stand out.
That's right, as the two ran out the door a large group of people followed behind to watch the fun.
The clone followed behind slowly and saw a small encirclement outside of the library.
Obviously the figure hadn't expected that there would be more people outside of the library. But they had obviously cultivated at least double digits worth of spiritual energy.
The figure put their right hand into their opposite sleeve and pulled out a glinting Steel knife. Clearly they were no longer willing to fight normally against at least a dozen other people, even if they weren't warriors.
They twisted their knife at the person blocking them, successfully piercing it into their shoulder. Before anyone had any time to react they twisted the knife causing a squelching sound.
Everyone looked on in shock as they saw a severed arm flop onto the floor.
''AHHH'' The now one-armed man screamed as he held his shoulder trying to stop the flowing blood.
But the figure didn't wait for them to react, pushing them aside and trying to escape. However that small interruption successfully allowed the warrior chasing behind them to catch up.
The man appeared with a flash behind the figure and smacked towards their back. It was too late to be dodge as a sickening crack echoed towards the crowd and the figure fell to the ground.
Looking at the body on the floor, the clone was stunned at the man's cruelty. Clearly he heard the figure call him brother however he didn't hesitate to crush every bone in the figures back.
Medicine might be able to cure it, however the costs and the time taken would be unimaginable.
''It's a pity, if you had just accepted the Young Masters offer we wouldn't have had to go this far'' The Man shook his head as he looked at the figure lying crumpled on the ground.
''Pooh'' The figure didn't have the strength to reply, only spitting out a mouthful of blood onto the ground.
Seeing this the Man once again shook his head with a sigh and walked away.
The people forming the encirclement followed behind him while the crowd from the library also quickly dispersed. No one dared to go pick up the figure.
This left the clone conflicted about what they wanted to do. Clearly they shouldn't go and help them however the feelings of helpfulness built up from Mark's original time period had not yet disbursed.
After an obvious moment of confliction the clone waited until the crowd had left before walking over and picking up the surprisingly light figure.
The clone quickly walked away from the library, walking slightly in the shadows to avoid attention.
