Breaktime III

It was truly a time blessed with peace for Jun and his girls. For some however, too much was too much and they were getting bored.

After all, most of them were heroic figures of legend and myth. Although many fought for peace in their time, their lives were filled with war and they had gotten used to it.

Someone like Scathach could be said to have fought enough to get tired of battle for eternity but in truth, she still loved to throw down against worthy opponents, toy with worthy adversaries and otherwise dance amidst the fires of war.

Penthesilea was the queen of a female tribe whose identity was intrinsically tied to battle. She was the daughter of the God of War and became a goddess of War herself.

Artoria fought for peace and an ideal nation, never finding enjoyment in the horrors of war but still, if she said she did not enjoy a honorable contest between knights to test one's mettle, then she would be lying.

Cases like these three were abound amongst Jun's girls and so, despite their enjoyment of peace, many were raring to get back into the thick of things.

In truth, most of Jun's problems were taken care of by him so the girls did not get the chance to thrown down themselves so they had been away from battle far longer than the duration of the current break and though Jun was enjoying the peace . . .

How could the literal embodiment of the END not miss annihilating his foes with extreme prejudice. The solution was quite obvious too since there was a timeline filled with battles against all manner of powerful opponents in the Nasuverse.

Going there however, would require the security provided by the massive boost in power that his ascension was to grant him so Jun simply told his girls "Soon.".

Soon they would have the opportunity to find without restraint and without him to steal the show and do all the fun work by himself.

This was naturally the timeline of Fate/Grand Order, where big bosses who Jun's group could not normally deal with before his transformation was complete existed.

In the original events, every time a truly world shatteringly powerful opponent had to be defeated, there were always certain circumstances that made those unreachable foes barely, just barely, reachable.

Things like the Black Barrel and Mars' assistance when fighting Zeus, Solomon's Ars Nova when fighting Goetia, B.B.'s cheats and exploits when fighting Kiara, these were just a few examples but it happened pretty much every single time Chaldea had to fight something they fundamentally could not defeat.

Jun however, did not want to rely on uncertain factors. Once his transformation was finally finished, his true form as Apokalypsis would serve as a final win button to use on foess that proved impossible to beat using conventional means while Domina Coronam served both as a way to channel that power and ensure the survival of every member of his own camp.

With those two elements in play, even in the most desperate of scenarios, Jun could just use his true form to nuke everything and then use everyone's essence stored in Domina Coronam to hit the resurrection button for everyone in his camp that perished.

In that unfortunate event, all of his allies would be doomed so it would always remain a last resort but having such a devastating surefire backup did wonders to give Jun the peace of mind to give his best and let his girls give their best against any foe, no matter how mighty and unbeatable they might seem.

But as those countermeasures were not ready yet, the most he could do was to try and placate the girls and tell them that soon enough, they would have their chance to go wild.

In the meantime however, there was a less challenging and thus less interesting playground. Namely, the DxD Verse where, as time passed, the plot of the original series seemed to be approaching.

Honestly, Jun thought there would be no chance of the original plot taking place due to his drastic influence on the DxD Verse. The aftereffects of his actions, taken before the plot began were truly too great for things to progress in the same way.

Some events however, seemed bound to happen, despite how unlikely the case should be. Things like Issei's change into a Devil were definitely not occurring since he did not have the Boosted Gear which triggered all those events.

Kuoh was Jun's turf now so Raynare and her buddies would most certainly not dare to come. After all, they only dared to plot in Kuoh during the original timeline due to it being under the management of a young inexperienced Devil like Rias.

Now that a monster with considerable power and an iron grip that prevented any non authorized individuals from even just entering the city undetected, few would dare to try something there.

Alas, few, by definition, meant there were some who did not get the memo. Individuals that, through a combination of pride, arrogance and sheer stupidity felt that they would be the chosen ones that could break the stability of Kuoh unpunished.

Do to these idiotic few, a select few of the events that took place in the original timeline may yet have a chance to materialize in this heavily altered one, even if the results and proceeding of said events would be radically different.

One such events, would be the approaching engagement and marriage of one Rias Gremory . . .
