***** FLASHBACK: *****
3rd Person's P.O.V.
The group hadn't seen any signs Jimin might be unhappy or that he didn't want to live with the group anymore in their often, very chaotic, household. The petite male simply announced he had a girlfriend and they were moving in together, nobody said anything because they were too much in shock. He came home one day with packing boxes and tape, packed his things, and left while some of the guys were out of town; Dongmyeong, Kanghyun, Yonghoon, CyA and Harin had a few gigs booked halfway across the country and were going to be gone for 4 days.
The group assumed it was because Jimin and this girl were sincere about each other, certainly they had no idea that he'd literally vanish because of her.
All the group knew was that Jimin ghosted them. Completely. Weeks dragged into months, and months into a year. Jimin didn't read or reply to messages or emails, and probably didn't listen to any of the multitude of voicemails received in his answering machine and gradually they began to give up.
Kanghyun, Hwanwoong and Dongmyeong lasted the longest; they continued to try and contact the petite male for eighteen months, two weeks and four days. But Jimin just ... never replied.
=======
For Jimin, leaving his friends in the dark had been one of the hardest things he'd done. He'd been led to believe he would still be able to keep in contact with his friends. The girl Jimin had been made to believe was in love with completely flipped her personality leading up to the time when they moved in together. And he had no idea he was being manipulated. Not at first.
She had convinced him they were in love.
She convinced him that his friends would only try to stop him from moving in with her if they knew beforehand since they were jealous of Jimin's relationship with her.
She convinced him that since he had her, he didn't need fake friends so he could ditch them.
That day became the first day of Jimin's living nightmare. It was almost worse than the day Kanghyun had found him bleeding to death behind the school gym; the sense of loss was felt very deeply - especially by Dongmyeong.
They assumed he didn't care anymore - that he wanted to be left alone. So, they did; they stopped calling, stopped sending emails and messages, they stopped leaving voicemails pleading for even a text message to let them know he was alright.
Jimin, however, desperately hoped his friends still cared about him. He hoped they tried to find him and that they knew, somehow, that he wanted - needed - them to find him. To rescue him. Jimin prayed his friends wouldn't think he wanted to be left alone.
He hoped they would see he needed help.
