Chapter 33 - Where is Mechamaru? or Kokichi?

Miwa Katsumi wondered where real Mechamaru was at. She only got to know Mechamaru at Kyoto School but there were times she couldn't help but wonder where the real Mechamaru was at or what he looked like.

"Miwa?"

Miwa's thoughts were cut off as soon as she heard the voice.

"Utahime sensei, do...do you know where the real Mechamaru is?" Miwa found herself asking.

Utahime's face expression changed at that. Her lips pursed into a thin line and she found herself finding suitable words to answer. She couldn't tell the truth, Utahime thought to herself.

"Why would you ask that, Miwa?"

"No..nothing." Miwa replied.

Now that she looked closer, Miwa seemed closer to Mechamaru than the others. Utahime wondered what would happen if she were to find the truth later. Kokichi was not dead, but his fate was now unknown because of his betrayal.

Unknown to Utahime's thoughts, Miwa excused herself with a blush.

Utahime sighed.

But, it was a good thing Miwa just left without continuing the conversation.

--------------------

A few days passed and Miwa didn't see Mechamaru. So, she couldn't help but feel worried.

"Have you seen Mechamaru?"

"No." Todo shook his head.

"No." Kamo said with his eyes closed.

Momo said she didn't see him either and Mai asked, "Didn't you get a notebook from him the other day? None of us really saw him after that."

"Right, maybe you're the last person to see him." Momo said.

"Did he mention anything that day?" Kamo asked.

"No. He just said he was going to sleep for a while." Miwa sighed.

"Maybe we should ask Utahime sensei." Momo suggested.

"I agree with Nishimiya. The school should know something," said Kamo.

Since none of the Kyoto students saw Mechamaru either and Momo suggested asking Utahime, Miwa went to find Utahime again.

Miwa noticed herself feeling restless as she waited for Utahime.

"Utahime sensei, none of us saw Mechamaru. Did..something happen?" She asked.

"That's right." Utahime replied with a sigh, "Kokichi wasn't in the location he was being held in and now, we're trying to find him."

It was a lie Utahime came up with after discussing some things with Gojo.

"Is..he going to be okay?" Miwa was worried.

"We don't know yet." Utahime replied , "I know you're close to him...So, I know it would be harder for you but.."

Miwa nodded slowly while fighting the sudden urge to cry.

She wished she got to know the real Mechamaru better.

-------------------------

"Have you heard a student from Kyoto school went missing?" Panda said.

"Okaka."

"Huh? Who went missing?" Maki raised her eyebrows.

"I heard it's Mechamaru. Apparently, it's because Muta Kokichi went missing." Panda answered.

"That annoying robot went missing ?!" They heard Nobara's voice.

"More like Muta Kokichi went missing. Because Muta controls the Mechamaru puppet, Mechamaru can't be there anymore." Panda explained.

"I wonder what happened." Maki said.

"I know, a lot has been happenning lately and we have no idea why all of those happen." Nobara agreed.

"Shake." Inumaki also agreed.

When Nobara told the rest of the first years, their reactions weren't so different either. Megumi wondering why that happened, Itadori seemingly sympathetic and Junpei doing both. For Sachiko, Nobara didn't even expect her to do any of that. Maybe she would be interested to know why Muta Kokichi disappeared or maybe she would just say ' is that so?' and that's that.

She wasn't entirely wrong as Sachiko said casually, "Is that so? I wonder what happened. "

"That's that?" Itadori couldn't help but ask.

"Yeah? It's not like I know him that well." Sachiko shrugged.

"Wow."

"Why am I even surprised at that point?" Nobara groaned.

Megumi stared at Sachiko without saying a word.

"What's the matter, Megumi chan?~ Do you have anything to say to me?~~" Sachiko purred.

"I told you not to call me that. And, what's with that tone?!" Megumi huffed.

"What's wrong with any of that?" Sachiko purred again and that's it, Megumi literally ran away from her.

As soon as Megumi ran away, Sachiko hummed and thought to herself.

"At least , he's distracted from the issue now."
