"I didn't put anything inside, dear. Or do you want me to feed you?" Luca said with a seducing manner.
Ayana was confused at what the man said, "Feed me? I still have both of my hands. You don't need to do that. No, thanks."
"I see. I think women would like it when a man does that," Luca murmured.
Ayana frowned at the direction of their conversation.
"You know, a woman usually likes it when men feed them alcohol with a kiss," Luca said casually, but his eyes were glued to her face.
Ayana felt her cheeks getting heated from embarrassment when she remembered that Luca kissed her in the car.
Ayana sighed before hurriedly took the glass from Luca's hand.
She did not drink it. She would hold it and if Luca started to do something stupid, she would smash the glass on the man's head.
Luca chuckled when he felt the anger radiating from Ayana's body.
"You look like you wanted to attack me with the glass," Luca said as he sipped the wine.
Ayana smiled as she stirred the wine. The smell of the wine was really alluring. Ayana could imagine the bittersweet taste in her mouth. Her hand unconsciously moved the glass to her nose as she smelled the wine.
"It is the best wine produced seventy years ago. There are only four bottles left in Atlan." Luca said as he took another sip.
Ayana could hear the voice of her crumbling resolve. The wine was older than her. She might not have another chance to taste this old wine anymore.
Ayana eyed Luca who was enjoying the wine.
There shouldn't be any poison and alcohol inside the wine, right? He wouldn't have the time to put any poison when I am not looking, right? Ayana started to convince herself, eyeing the red liquid in her glass.
She was having a battle inside of her that she didn't realize that Luca was moving closer to her.
Ayana swung the glass to the man when she realized the man's presence was just right beside her. Unfortunately, Luca was faster as he stopped her movement by striking her wrist, making the red wine spill on her dress. Ayana didn't wait for another second as she pulled her hairpin. She grabbed the hairpin and tried to stab Luca's eyes with the sharp object.
Sadly, she forgot to take the man's power into consideration as Luca easily evaded her attack and snatched the hairpin from her hand while pinning her hand above her head.
Ayana didn't expect their power difference to be so big. Luca was pinning her hand so easily like she was a kid.
All this time, she thought that she could take down a vampire since she can defeat more than six men in a fight. Although the reality was harder than she imagined.
She tried to break free, but Luca's hand didn't budge at all. Realizing that there was no chance that she could be free from this, she could only look at the man angrily.
"I only want to show you the right way to stir the wine and make it more fragrance, but you reacted like I wanted to kill you, dear," Luca said with a regretful expression, making Ayana's resentment rise another notch.
She would never believe such a lame excuse.
"Let go of me!" Ayana said with a voice full of rage.
"I will, but you need to calm down first and promise me that you won't make that kind of sudden attack," Luca said in a more serious tone.
Ayana didn't say anything as she kept glaring at Luca.
"Let's keep doing this all night," Luca said as he started to smile sweetly.
Ayana tried not to flinch when she found the cunning light in the man's eyes.
The man's face kept getting closer, making Ayana more nervous.
"I promise!" Ayana said hurriedly as she closed her eyes when their faces were only several inches apart. She could feel Luca's breath in her face. The man's face must be so close to hers.
Luca chuckled as he rubbed the tip of his nose on Ayana's nose before letting go of Ayana's hand.
Ayana's body froze for a second at that kind of gesture. Her father loved doing that kind of gesture. Now that Luca did the same thing as her father, it just brought back a lot of memories in her childhood.
Ayana felt like her eyes were stinging from the longing that suddenly appeared from the depth of her heart. She tried to calm herself, she knew that being emotional over the man's antics was just a waste of her energy. She took a deep breath and counted to twenty inwardly hoping that the sadness would quickly go away.
"Are you okay?" Luca asked.
Ayana opened her eyes and answered calmly, "I am okay."
Luca was observing her for some time before he opened his suit and gave it to Ayana.
Ayana blinked. This was unexpected. She actually started to get cold since her dress was wet. She looked down on her dress and found that the wet spot was bigger than she thought.
Ayana took the jacket and put it over her.
"You want some wine?" Luca asked with raised eyebrows.
"Yes, please," Ayana answered. Screw it. It isn't like I am not doomed already, Ayana thought as she sighed. If Luca really wanted to kill her, she would be dead now. So, she would not think about anything and just enjoy the drink.
Luca took another glass and poured some wine on it. He stirred the glass for a minute before handing it to Ayana.
Ayana took the glass and leaned back.
Their small match made Ayana realized that she was at Luca's mercy. The man could force her to drink the wine with poison on it, but he didn't.
Now that she realized she couldn't run anymore, she became more accepting of her tragic fate.
Ayana took a sip of the wine. The taste was better than what she imagined. She was curious whether the wine would taste better or worse in a normal situation.
"Let's make a deal," Luca said after some time.
"I know you are plotting revenge for your father's murderer." Luca made a shocking statement.
