"Calm down. People might think that you are asking a ten years old boy and not a general of District 2," Luca said with a bit of a sarcastic tone.
"Where is she?" Irene asked, and did not bother with Luca's statement earlier.
"She is here. Safe and sound," Luca said as he stepped out of the car before turning around and carrying Ayana's limping body in his arms.
Irene held her breath as the worst thought filled her mind.
"What have you done?" Irene said, almost screaming at Luca's wicked smile. She panicked as she looked at Ayana's weak body. Her mind was filled with worry about her wreck plan when she spotted the scene in front of her.
Irene's panic increased as she looked at the red stain in Ayana's front dress.
"Did you kill her?"
"What do you think?" Luca asked back, looking at Irene with scheming in his eyes.
The panicked woman looked at Nico and gave an order, "go and make a call to doctor Bensen, quick."
Irene then walked toward Luca at the end of the stairs in a hurry.
Nicolaus did not move as he looked at Luca for confirmation. He did not panic, since he didn't feel any smell of blood. He also can see the woman's pink lips and rosy cheek.
Irene was panicked and anxious, so she didn't realize that everything seemed normal.
Nicolaus sighed as he saw his master. Luca always took every opportunity to tease and prank Irene and made his grandmother worry.
"Why do we have to call the poor Bensen to check a sleeping person, grandma," Luca feigned in ignorance as he walked up, meeting Irene halfway.
Irene blinked as she looked at Luca with confusion. Only a minute later did the words finally register in her mind.
"She is sleeping?" Irene asked as she followed behind Luca. Irene focused her senses on Ayana and she could hear her regular breathing and beating heart. She breathed out in relief and patted her chest.
Her grandson's bad impression of humans had craved malicious feelings in her heart as soon as she saw them together.
"Then what is the blackened spot on the dress?" Irene asked.
"You did not remember the smell of your favourite wine?" Luca asked as he kept walking.
Irene then smelt the fragrance of wine from Ayana. She was then hit by realization. Favourite wine? The wine of the Moongrape company.
"You still have that wine?" Irene asked with bewilderment in her voice.
Luca answered with a laughed like he just heard a ridiculous question.
Irene stumped. She wanted those. It saddened her that Luca knew that it was her favourite wine and still decided to drink those with Ayana. She couldn't even find those even if she had a lot of money to buy them.
Irene was a bit confused on the reason Luca needed to take the precious wine out. Ayana might not understand the value of the wine. She even spilled some on her dress.
No, I will let this slide since she is fine, Irene thought as she walked behind Luca.
"You really scared me for a second. I really thought you killed her."
Luca only smiled at that. He didn't even turn and looked at the woman beside her.
"By the way, where did you go and come back so late? You did not do anything stupid to scare her, right?" Irene asked in a hushed tone, afraid to wake Ayana up.
"We were just taking a trip around the town and yes I scared her a bit. Let's hope that she is still in her room in the morning." Luca answered with an indifferent tone.
"Trip around the town? Why?" Irene asked. She really could not understand the man in front of her. This was not her usual grandson.
"I just want it," Luca answered briefly
"As long as she is fine then," Irene said after a long silence.
"Just give her to Nicolaus to take her upstairs," Irene said when they were waiting for the lift. She then turned to the butler that still followed behind them and signalled the man to take Ayana from Luca.
Irene frowned when Nicolaus only bowed down like he did not hear her command.
"That's okay. I will bring her upstairs, grandma. Just tells Nicolaus to deliver her bag upstairs," Luca said as he walked inside the lift. Nicolaus then quickly followed inside and bowed down a little as the lift door closed, leaving the stunned Irene there.
"Did he just call me grandma?" Irene asked as she looked at one of the maids, although the maid hurriedly bowed down and answered with stuttering, "I did not hear what the master said clearly, madam."
She was still so confused and shocked about what happened. In fact, she wanted Luca to be nicer with Ayana, but she never thought that his attitude would change so much that she was terrified of Luca. Everything about the man's behavior today was so bizarre.
"He looks possessed to me," Irene murmured as she looked at the door.
She did not understand the reason for Luca's kind attitude to Ayana. Luca never shows his interest in giving a helping hand on her project. Why the sudden change? Did she find the girl interesting?
Irene sighed as she started to make her way to the castle. She was glad to see Luca's kind attitude to Ayana, but something stuck in her heart. There is an unsettling feeling tingling in her heart.
It's okay, he will get bored as time passes, and when the time comes, she hoped her plan was also finalized and she could get rid of the girl.

Ayana jolted awake as she heard the sound of the chirping birds outside the window. She was looking around in confusion when she found herself on the bed in her bedroom. She frowned. The last time she closed her eyes, she was inside the car with Luca. The crazy man hugged her tight and she could not break free from his hug.
What kind of dream was that?
