Chapter 18

It was the next morning as Isaac and Felicity were at a food stand on the campus, grabbing breakfast. Isaac was eating a toasted bagel with cream cheese and Felicity was eating breakfast sandwich. And as they were eating, Felicity noticed that the students had different colored seals on their uniforms. She look at Isaac and her seal as she had green and Isaac had red.

"Isaac, why do we have different colored patches?" Felicity asked.

"Patches? Oh, you mean our seal. The just tells what year we are in." Said Isaac.

"Oh. Could you tell me?" Felicity asked.

"Sure. Green are first years, yellow are second, red are third, blue are fourth, black are fifth and white are for sixth." Said Isaac.

"People stay here for that long?" Felicity, surprised.

"It depends on what you plan on doing as a hunter. Or career choice." Said Isaac.

"Oh, okay." Said Felicity.

Suddenly, they heard a commotion going as there students surrounding a fight. Isaac made his way as Felicity followed, while trying to finish her sandwich. People were cheering as it was Marcus and Jon, fighting fist to fist. Jon landed a blow on Marcus, but he took the hit as he spat to his side. Marcus then approached Jon as he swung again, but he side stepped. Marcus then landed a hit as he continued to repeatedly hit Jon on the face. Jon was stunned as Marcus held his fist back and swung. But Isaac stepped in and stopped his fist with his bare hand as he glared at Marcus. Marcus quickly removed his fist, stepping back as Jon fell on one knee.

"Again with crap, Marcus!" Said Isaac.

"You need to make sure that your damn dog is on a leash, Atwood." Said Jon.

"The hell did you just say!?" Marcus responded, stepping forward.

But Isaac placed his hand on Marcus's chest, stopping him as Isaac stared at Jon.

"I'd watch what you say, Orchid. If I didn't step in, he'd be kicking your ass. Be grateful I come in when I did." Said Isaac.

"Like I needed your help. Hell, I can take you both on, right now." Said Jon.

Suddenly, Isaac gave intimidating glare as everyone started to feel a heavy presence that scared them. Jon started to shake as he was feeling a heavy weight on him. Until someoen clapped their hands as Isaac turned and the presence went away.

"Now, now. That is enough! Mr. Atwood. Please make sure that Mr. Rowe is taken to class. I will deal with Mr. Orchid." Said Mr. Welling.

"Of course. Thank you, Mr. Welling. Come on, Marcus." Said Isaac.

"Alright, everyone! Hop to it! Get to class!" Mr. Welling shouted.

Marcus followed Isaac like a dog ashamed of what he did as Felicity approached Isaac.

"Do you always have to fight Orchid!?" Isaac yelled.

"He was talking crap about you and the team. Like I was I was going to him run his mouth." Said Marcus.

"(sighs) Well, I appreciate you doing it. But what did I say the other times? Let him talk. Like he can ready anything to us." Said Isaac.

"True. But still." Marcus replied.

"You need to learn to control your temper. You're too impatience and impulsive." Said Isaac.

"Sorry. I'll try to do better." Said Marcus.

"Woo, that was so crazy! Marcus you tanked that hit. And then you were like, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom!" Said Violet as she appeared out of nowhere.

"You saw everything?" Isaac asked.

"Yeah, I was there when it started." Said Violet.

"So why didn't you think to stopping him!?" Isaac yelled.

"He was taking crap about you and the team." Said Violet.

"Right?" Said Marcus.

"That's not the point! We have to be better, understood?" Isaac responded.

"Yes, sir." Marcus and Violet responded.

"Good." Said Isaac.

It would be later as they were in class as Isaac, Marcus, Violet, Jasper and Christine were at their seats. They still didn't have a teacher as Violet slid her chair next to Christine. She was drawing in old fairy tale art style of a forest that had animals.

"Wow, what's this?" Violet asked

"Oh, last night I was watching a documentary of brothers grim tales. You know, red riding hood, Hansel and Gretel. And I liked the art style of how they drew the tales. So, I had to draw it. What do you think?" Christine asked.

"It's really good. I wish I could do that." Said Isaac, slightly gloomy.

"You should enter this at the art gallery museum. They're having a contest and the winner wins 500 dollars in supplies." Said Violet.

"I really could use that." Said Christine.

"Yeah. Isaac, you should go with her. For support. Or, you know, a date." Said Violet.

"Huh?" Christine responded.

"Violet…" Isaac responded as he popped his knuckles.

"Excuse me…" Said a man.

They all looked as Isaac was surprised at who it was. It was Van Helsing as he was dressed like a teachers, while wearing glass. Most of the girls in the class thought he was very handsome as they murmured and giggled, while Isaac froze.

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mr. Helsing. And no, I'm not part of the Helsing family. But I did train under them." Said Van.

"Isaac, isn't that your mentor?" Christine asked.

"Y-Yeah." Isaac replied.

"Me likey." Said Violet as she was drooling.

"Easy, Vi." Said Jasper.

Homeroom ended as the students were leaving, but the girls in the class were speaking to Van as they all surrounded him. Isaac and the others were waiting as Christine was leaving, while Violet was looking at Van with binoculars.

"Where did you get those?" Jasper asked.

"And why do you have those?" Marcus asked.

"Shh…don't worry about it." Said Violet with her finger held at them.

"Bye, guys." Said Christine.

"See you." Said Isaac.

"Bye." Said Jasper.

"Later." Said Marcus.

"Damn, these girls are all over him." Said Marcus.

"Yeah, Van has always had the effect on girls." Said Isaac.

"I mean, can you blame us?" Violet asked.

"Yeah, I can." Said Marcus.

"But you all should head to class. Don't want the other teachers scolding you pretty girls." Said Van as they giggled and were bashful.

They all left in a huddle as Isaac approached Van, staring at him with a serious look.

"Why are you here, Van?" Isaac asked.

Part 2- Isaac looked at Van with a serious look as Van kept straight look.

"And…why do you have glasses? Don't you have good vision?" Isaac asked.

"Oh, these? They're fake." Said Van as he poked his finger through the glasses.

"So why?" Isaac asked.

"To make me look smarter. The girls seem to like it." Said Van.

"That's because they're hormonal teens." Said Marcus.

"Really? How could you tell?" Van asked.

"Is he serious?" Marcus asked as he pointed with his thumb.

"But no hello? Why so cold? I thought we were close. And how long has it been?" Van asked as he approached Isaac.

"A few years. And I'm like this because whenever you're around, something happens. Tell me why you're here?" Isaac asked.

"Confidential reasons that I can't say. Plus, I'm actually trying to be a teacher. What did you think? I literally was reading out of my notes today." Said Van as he showed him his cards.

"I think you did great, Mr. Helsing." Said Violet.

"Thank you. Is this your team? C'mon introduce me to them." Said Van, eagerly.

"This is Marcus, Jasper and Violet. The rest of my team are in their own class. But you'll meet them soon." Said Isaac.

"Nice to meet you all. I've heard a lot about you guys by Isaac." Said Van.

"Aw, you talk about us." Said Violet, looking at Isaac.

"I'd love to talk to you all. But you should head over to class." Said Van.

"Right. Don't want to be late." Said Jasper.

"Yeah. It was nice meeting you, Mr. Helsing." Said Marcus as he and Jasper left.

"Bye, Mr. Helsing!" Violet giggled.

"Bye. I like her." Said Van.

"Seriously? But anyway. I have something to ask you." Said Isaac.

"What's up?" Van asked.

"I'm going to need you to help me with my training." Said Isaac.

"Why?" Van asked.

"You know why." Isaac replied.

"Isaac, I've taught you everything I could as a hunter. What more can you ask?" Van asked.

"I need to learn how to control my life-force better." Said Isaac.

"You want to get better at that? Well, you out of all people should know that I'm not the best to teach that. My life-force abilities came natural to me. You need to learn from someone who gained it." Said Van.

"Do you know anyone who can help me?" Isaac asked.

"I know a guy. A staff member who works here. Have you met Mr. Gurerro?" Van asked.

"The school's councilor?" Isaac asked.

"Go talk to him when you have the chance. Tell him, Van sent you. He'll understand." Said Van.

"Alright. Thanks. And I'm glad you're alright. Since you and Rick fought." Said Isaac.

"Yeah, damn guy left a number on me. And took my gun." Said Van.

"But I stole it back. Do you want it back?" Said Isaac.

"Nah, hold on to it for me." Said Van.

"Alright." Said Isaac as he left.

"No goodbye?" Van asked.

"See you, teach." Said Isaac as he walked away, waving once with his right hand.

"That guy. Alright. Better get my cards ready for the next class." Said Van.
