Chapter 22

It was the next morning at a five-star hotel and at the balcony was Yuko as she was listening to music with her earbuds. She was wearing the Salem Academy boy's uniform as she was looking at a pictures of her and Isaac when they were younger, while they wore the same kendo training clothes. She chuckled at the sight, while in the room. Kiyomi was fixing her hair as she was wearing a kimono dress as she look beautiful.

"Excited to see, Isaac?" Kiyomi asked.

"Yes, mother. I actually want to challenge him to a sword fight." Said Yuko.

"And what if he stopped being a swordsmen?" Kiyomi asked.

"I'm still going to challenge him. Sword or no sword. Also, I don't see how you can dress up like all the time." Said Yuko.

"You may not like it. But I do. My mother always loved dressing me up in kimono's when I was your age. You're lucky I don't force you." Said Kiyomi.

"Thank you by the way, mother." Said Yuko as someone knocked on the door.

"But I'll be back, Yuko. I have a small meeting with the other knights." Said Kiyomi as she got up and walked to the door.

"Okay. I'll see you soon." Said Yuko.

Kiyomi opened the door and at the door was Van as he was dressed in his hunter clothes. She stepped outside, while closing the door.

"Ms. Takahashi…" Said Van.

"Mr. Helsing, they sent you?" Kiyomi asked.

"Yeah, since the knights can only talk to me. Since I'm somewhat human." Said Van.

"Well, at least there won't be much arguing." Said Kiyomi.

"And your sacred weapon? I thought great knights carried it around with them?" Van asked.

"I do. I got tired of carrying it all the time so…" Said Kiyomi.

She rolled down her right hand's sleeve as there was a tattoo symbol of a sword on her arm.

"But I only use it when I have no other choice." Said Kiyomi.

"That's understandable. But it's nice meeting you again. When was the last time we saw each other?" Said Van.

"After the battle with Arthon." Said Kiyomi.

"Oh, right." Said Van.

"It was a long time ago. But let us hurry. Knights tend to be impatient." Said Kiyomi.

"Oh, I know." Said Van as he followed her.

Meanwhile, back at Isaac's dorm, Isaac just woke up with a tired look. He tried getting up, but he couldn't move as his body was still exhausted. But he pushed himself as he felt pain everywhere as he groaned.

"Yep, definitely going to feel this all day. Glad it's the weekend." Said Isaac.

Isaac walked out of the bathroom and walked into the kitchen, until he saw a note on the fridge as it was from Felicity. It said, Out with some friends, be back soon. – Felicity.

"It's good she already made some friends. Hope she has a good time." Isaac thought to himself.

We then see Isaac walk out of the dorm building in sweat clothes on as he started to stretch. He then started to run, while passing the girl's dorm building. Girls who were by their window watched Isaac as they all stared at him in a daze. Christine was watering some of her plants as she noticed him and was about to say good morning.

"He's so hot." Said a girl from another window.

"I wish he could take off that jacket." Said another girl.

"I know." Said another girl as they giggled.

Suddenly, water fell on them all as they all got wet and furious. They yelled at the window above them as it was Christine with her watering pot, trying not to laugh.

"Oops, sorry! (That should cool them down)." Said Christine.

She then put her watering pot down and started texting Isaac. Meanwhile, Franklin was walking with Garry and Jasper to the library. Jasper was still recuperating as they were walking slowly.

"Still can't believe you haven't healed, yet." Said Garry.

"Well, I'm not like you, Gare. I may have ghost powers, but none of them is to heal. Why would a ghost need to heal?" Said Jasper.

"Good point my pale friend. But did anything happen between you Scar? She seems to be a lot happier when you're around." Garry asked.

"Nothing happened. We just talked and got to know each other better. That's all." Said Jasper.

"Did you tell her that you like her?" Garry asked teasingly.

"Shut up. I'm not just going to blurt it out. She's a teammate first. You know the team code." Said Jasper.

"I know, but I'm just messing with you. I was just so shocked that you told us bros that you thought she was cute. And going to the market with her was a smooth move. Until that crazy chick attack you and you know…but was she interested?" Said Garry.

"We hung out for about a few hours, Gare. And no. She's…move focus on her studies than anything else. She wants to support her family that's all. But to change the subject. Franklin, you good, pal? You seem very quiet and tense looking." Said Jasper.

"He's nervous about see him girlfriend~." Said Garry, while making kissy faces.

"Stop." Jasper replied.

"He's right, though. And she's not my girlfriend." Franklin responded.

"Easy, big guy. Look, from what I've learn from tv shows, comics and anime. You got to take a leap of faith and confess!" Garry shouted.

"S-Seriously?" Franklin replied.

"Unless you want to be super romantic. But to be real, just talk. Catch up to her. Don't try too hard." Said Garry.

"Alright. Thanks. See you, guys." Said Franklin as he left.

He walked away confidently as Jasper looked to his side and then pointed.

"Isn't the library that way?" Jasper asked.

"Yeah. Frank! That way, pal!" Garry shouted as he pointed as well.

"I knew that!" Franklin responded as he quickly turned.

"Look our boy. It warms my heart to see him in love." Said Garry, tearing up.

"Yeah, it's a tearjerker." Said Jasper, sarcastically.

We then see him enter the library as he looked at his phone and had a message from Valerie saying she was at the academy's library. She was sitting down reading and writing down notes for her research. Her ferret was lying down on a stack of books as Franklin approached her, looking a bit awkward.

"Hey, Val." Said Franklin as he stood next to her.

"Franklin, h-hello. How are you?" Valerie asked.

"Good. You?" Franklin replied as he sat down.

"Just doing some research with the books they have here." Said Valerie.

"That sounds like fun." Said Franklin.

"Does it?" Valerie asked, tilting her head.

"I mean, how you said it makes it sounds like fun." Said Franklin, awkwardly.

"(Giggles) I must be very convincing then." Said Valerie.

"And if you don't mind me asking, why do the knights want you working for them?" Franklin asked as he sat down.

"It's confidential information that I can't reveal." Said Valerie.

"Oh, never mind then. And I see you have a friend. What's his name?" Franklin asked.

"His name is Wolt. He's my pet and my best buddy." Said Valerie as Wolt ran up to her arm and to her shoulder.

"It's nice seeing you again, Val. I really missed you. I just hate the fact he almost killed you. I'm sorry." Said Franklin.

"You don't have to apologize for anything. You saved me. And I missed you too." Said Valerie as she touched Franklin's hand.

It would be later as Isaac was taking a shower in his dorm room, while Christine was making her way to the dorm room, dressed in casual clothes. And across the hallway from her, the whole gang were walking together.

"Hey, Christine! What are doing here?" Violet asked.

"Hey, guys. Me and Isaac are going to the art museum. Remember?" Said Christine.

"Oh, yeah? Excuse us for a second. Team side bar." Said Violet.

They all stepped to the side and huddled up together like a football team as they were in a circle, while Christine stood by watching them with confusion.

"Uh, what's going on?" Christine asked.

"Sorry, just a second, please." Said Scarlet.

"Guys, it's happening. Isaac is going to become a man." Said Violet with a proud look.

"You make it sound like he's getting laid." Said Marcus.

"You never know! Have seen them? They look like one of those hot couples you see in shows and movies." Said Violet.

"Focus." Said Iris.

"She's right. Isaac needs this. Plus, he needs to recover from yesterday." Said Violet.

"Yeah, Isaac's been pushing himself lately. I've been catching him training at the lair later at night." Said Jasper.

"Man, that boy don't sleep. Wait, where's Franklin?" Violet asked.

"With Valerie." Said Jasper and Garry.

"Nice." Said Violet.

"What say you, second in command?" Garry asked.

"I don't care. Let him do what he wants. But he does need to rest. But we need to train more. If Isaac's pushing himself, so should we." Said Marcus.

"I concur." Said Scarlet.

"Dido." Said Iris.

"Then it's settle. Monster Unit on three! One! Two! Thr—" Said Violet.

"What are you all doing?" Isaac asked, interrupting.

They all separated as Isaac was standing with Christine as he was in casual clothes as well.

"Hey, boss. We were just talking." Said Marcus.

"About what?" Isaac asked.

"Pff, training, duh." Said Violet.

"Really?" Isaac replied.

"Yeah." Iris replied.

"You know, to get good. At fighting." Said Garry.

"But we heard you and Christine were going to the museum. So were heading to the lair to better ourselves." Said Scarlet.

"Christine, could you meet me outside?" Isaac asked.

"Sure. Bye, guys. See you later." Said Christine as she left.

"Bye." Everyone responded.

"Okay, what are you all scheming? Are you going to sneak beer again?" Isaac asked.

"(Gasp) Truly, we are offended." Said Violet with her hand on her chest.

"Yes, quite." Said Garry, crossing his arms.

"Stop being dumb! Listen, you need a break, Isaac. And we are going to train. Have the day off and I'll look after these them. You deserve it." Said Marcus.

"Yeah, go, Isaac. I'll be fun!" Said Scarlet.

"Mm-hmm." Iris nodded.

"(Sighs) Alright. But you better be training. I'll be back later today." Said Isaac as he left.

"Have a good time~!" Said Violet as they other waved.
