Chapter 50

It was a couple of years ago as Josephine was ten-year-old girl without the scar on her head as she was with Judith Bautista, her aunt. Josephine was showing Ms. Bautista her abilities as she was able to move a ball with her mind as her parents were there as well. They were surprised as Ms. Bautista was happy to see she was also a psychic.

"I'm sure within a few months. I can teach her how to control it. I'll make her into my apprentice and have her attend the school I work at." Said Ms. Bautista.

"Thank you, sister." Said Josephine's father.

"Yes, thank you." Said Josephine's mother.

"Anything for my niece." Said Ms. Bautista.

But it would be another day as we see Ms. Bautista running through a hospital hall. She found Josephine's parents waiting with worry as she reached them. It would be later as we see Josephine lying in bed as with bandages around her head and hooked to the monitor.

"We were on a trip to the beach and were swimming together. And she swam too far to the ocean and got caught in the large waves. A second wave hit her as it forced her to bump her head into a rock and it split her head open." Said Josephine's father.

"I was so scared. Judith, will she be okay? Will this affect her psychic abilities?" Josephine's mother asked.

"I don't know. We'll have to see." Said Ms. Bautista.

It would be days later as we see Ms. Bautista arriving to visit Josephine, until a nurse screamed. She looked a head and saw that Josephine had awaken as she walked out of her room with an annoyed look. She looked around as she heard a small toy dog barking at her. She then kicked at the dog, but Ms. Bautista used her telekinesis to pull the dog away. She put inside a room and closed the door, while she approached the nurse.

"What happened?" Ms. Bautista asked.

"She just woke up and everything in the room was moving." Said the nurse.

"I see. I apologize for this." Said Ms. Bautista as she placed her hand on her shoulder.

She then made her pass out with her psychic energy as she approached Josephine. Ms. Bautista's eyes glowed as she saw that Josephine's aura wasn't purple, but yellow and noticed how different she was acting.

"Oh? You're approaching me? I wouldn't do that if I were you." Said Josephine.

"Jo, tell me what's going on with you?" Ms. Bautista asked.

"Jo? You must be a relative. Only her family and friends calls her Jo. But I'm not her if that's what you're wondering." Said Josephine with her hand on her face in a bizarre way.

"You do talk too articulate to be Jo. Then who are you?" Ms. Bautista asked.

"That even I don't know. I woke up just now. I don't even know what's going on. But that dog is annoy. For a second I thought it was a rat. But as of my name, you may call me by this girl's middle name. Dionne." Said Dionne.

"Jo did hurt her head badly. Maybe the injury may have created this separate personality. She's completely different to Jo. Even her energy looks different. But is there a way to turn her back to her normal?" Ms. Bautista asked.

Dionne then made a chair attack Ms. Bautista, but her barrier protected her. She held her hand out to Dionne as she forced her to submit with her energy as she fell on her knees in pain. Ms. Bautista then looked into Dionne's head as she found Josephine. She was asleep as Ms. Bautista touched her on the face. Josephine woke up as Ms. Bautista caught her in her arms.

"Jo?" Said Ms. Bautista.

"Auntie? What the hell happened?" Josephine asked.

Ms. Bautista smiled from relief as we then see Ms. Bautista put a hat on Josephine's head as she fixed it and looked at Ms. Bautista.

"My gift to you for getting better. But we're going to figure out a way to control Dionne if she gets loose again." Said Ms. Bautista.

"How did this happen? Was my injury that bad?" Josephine asked.

"This didn't come from your injury. Psychics are prone to attract spirits. And I didn't realize that you were vulnerable as you were recuperating. So I'm guessing this is something else. But it has amnesia and it's linked to your mind. But I'm sure you can keep her in keep. She seemed really bad at using your energy." Said Ms. Bautista.

"Don't worry. I can take of her." Said Josephine with a confident smile.

Back to the present, we then see Dionne's Golden Gale hurling her fist at Tanya with speeding and precision as she could only have her arms up to protect herself. Until Gale swung with great force, leaving an opening as Tanya dodged her fist. Tanya then swung at Dionne's, until Lavender Blitz blocked her fist. Tanya was shocked, until Golden Gale punched Tanya on the face. She flew back into a tree as she landed on her feet looked up with irritation. We then see Dionne pick up the hat and placed it on as she fixed it with her finger as one iris was purple and the other was yellow.

"Jeez, I hate it when she pops up after I'm knocked out. But still think you can kick my ass. C'mon!" Josephine yelled.

Kanika and Yuko were fighting in the air as they sky had many explosions. Kanika was firing sun blasts at Yuko as she was running on air. Yuko bolted past her as she had left a cut on her Kanika's arm as she looked irritated.

"Damn girl! Bow before the new sun goddess!" Kanika yelled.

"Please…" Said Yuko.

She then fired a sun beam as Yuko stopped in front of beam. She had her eyes closed, until she opened them as her eyes glowed fiery yellow as Yuko had a celestial sun aura on her. She then swung Shinken as it cut through Kanika's beam like it was nothing.

"You're no goddess." Said Yuko as she powered down.

She then bolted into Kanika and karate punched her in the stomach. She knocked her downwards as she crashed through multiple trees.

"I think I used Hachiman's power a bit too much. Why am I feeling sorry?" Said Yuko.

We then see Santiago in a gorilla mix beetle form as he smashed his fist down on Regina as she was barely dodged out of the way as she made frantic faces.

"Don't…touch…MEEEE!" Regina shouted as she kept on dodging.

"What's wrong? Afraid of getting hurt?" Santiago asked.

"Far from it. I just hate bugs! They're so…ew." Said Regina.

"Then you'll love this." Said Santiago as he grew bug legs on his back.

"Ah, you made it worse!" Regina responded, grossed out.

His legs attacked her as she quickly chopped all of them off her short axe. She then hurled her short axe at him as it got stuck on his shoulder. She then quickly grabbed her sniper on her back and aimed at his face. She fired one shot at Santiago's head as he leaned far back. But he leaned forward as he had caught the bullet with his teeth as he spit out the bullet.

"Huh, that never happens." Said Regina.

Santiago rips off the short axe from his shoulder and charges towards Regina. She puts up her sniper on her back and pulls out her lumberjack axe. Regina swings her large axe at his face and then chest, hitting him. But Santiago grabs her axe and punches Regina in the face as she slid back. Santiago then spat out acid from his mouth as she quickly jumped out of the way. He then aimed his hand as his wrist fired spider webbing at her. It touched her as it spattered all over her upper torso. Santiago then hurled her around and tossed her into the mansion. He then bolted into the mansion as Regina was about to get back up. But he tackled into her and putting her into bear hug, crushing her as she was in pain.

"It's a waste actually. You're actually my type. But I have orders." Said Santiago.

But Regina's tensed up as her muscles grew as her who body grew fur. Santiago looked surprised as Regina's eyes were yellow like the moon as she had taken a semi-werewolf form. She then used her own strength to break free as she crossed her arms with her hands out. Her axes returned to her as she swung both axes, making an x shaped slash, cutting through Santiago's bug armor.

"I won't lie. You're not bad yourself. But I have a friend to avenge. So I have one shot at making sure that happens." Said Regina.

We see Jennifer get knocked back as she rolled to recover back on her feet, while Isaac flew past her. Vladimir stood casually as if they were a joke. That made Jennifer angry as she bolted up to him and thrust her sword at him and then swung her sword at him as he dodged the first and then blocked the last strike. He then back hands Jennifer as she fell back, but planted her right foot, spun around with a large magic sword next to her sword. She then swung with full strength as Vladimir blocked it again with his right arm. Suddenly, Isaac opened fired with his pistols as the bullets only irritated Vladimir. Jennifer then made multiple magic spears above Vladimir and made then rain down on him. Vladimir pushed away her sword as he dodged each and every spear and even Isaac's bullets. He then dashed to Isaac's side as he swung his leg at him. But Isaac blocked his leg, grabbed it, pulled Vladimir to him and punched Vladimir across the face with Life Force energy. Vladimir slid back as he was surprised he landed a hit on him, while Isaac stood ready as his life force aura showed.

"No, that's fair. I did just start my magic training. But you think my knight training would have given me an edge." Said Jennifer.

"Don't discourage yourself, young lady. You're just very slow. Your strength is enough to damage me. But if you don't mind me asking. How is my niece doing, Isaac? Is she well?" Vladimir asked.

"Why do you care?" Isaac asked.

"Believe it or not. I do care for her." Said Vladimir.

"She's fine. She's doing well." Said Isaac.

"Thank you. It relieves me to know that." Said Vladimir.

"Aren't we enemies?" Jennifer yelled.

"True. And if you don't mind me saying something before we continue." Said Vladimir.

"Oh my god." Jennifer responded.

"Your punch actually hurt me. From what Richard said, you were weak. But from what I've seen. You're not as weak he said." Said Vladimir.

"You know how siblings can be. We'll talk crap about each other." Said Isaac.

We then see Madeline and Van giving it their all to hurt Bram as he was dodging their attacks. Madeline was too slow for Bram, while Van would land a hit. But his life force doesn't do much to him as he would hit him back as Van was getting irritated and tired for use his life force for too long. Bram swung his chain at Van, but Madeline used her shield to block it as she looked tired as well.

"I'm not use to this kind of combat, Van. I don't think my body can keep going." Said Madeline.

"I think it's because of those big ass cans you have, are weighing you down." Said Bram.

"Typical of demon to look at me in lustful way." Said Madeline as she shielded herself.

"He's probably not wrong." Van added.

"Van!" Madeline responded.

"But I'm reaching my limit too. I haven't gone all out in a long time. Life force drains a lot of stamina because it pushes the body." Said Van.

"Then I'm guessing it's my turn right?" Christine asked as she appeared with her rifle in her hand.

"Man, a lot of blondes in this team. And who are you, cutie?" Bram asked.

"Christine, are you sure?" Van asked.

Christine was silent as we got into a flash back as Christine was with Van in the hallway. Van was leaning against a wall, while Christine looked confused.

"Van, why did you pick to be part of your team? I'm not an elite student. I'm pretty average for this school. Can you tell me why?" Said Christine.

"It's because of what you are, Christine. You are one of very few of your race. If we have a trump card, it's you. I'd use Isaac and Excalibur. But you know how that is. And Madeline is our medic. Yeah, she can fight. But she's not meant for battle, because…you've seen her. It must hurt her back moving around with those things." Said Van.

"I wouldn't doubt it." Christine replied.

"The others are good at fighting monsters, which will be needed for Richards men who are aiding him. You don't have to come. I was surprised you even said yes." Said Van.

"I want to make sure Isaac comes out in one piece. He's told me of what's happened before and it worries me." Said Christine.

"You're a good friend. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you like him." Said Van as he then gasps in surprise.

"(Laughs) It's not like that! I worry about him. He's…gone through a lot. I want to make sure he's okay. That's all." Said Christine.

"Okay, okay. But can I ask, why don't you use your power? It would help you big time, especially at being a hunter." Said Van.

"Because hunting isn't what I want to do. I want to be an artist. I don't like being in the spot or reach for high goals. I want to live my life…the way I want to live it. Doing the thing that I love." Said Christine with a smile on her face.

"Isaac, said that?" Van asked.

"Mm-maybe." Christine replied.

"I see. But can I count on you, Christine?" Van asked.

"Of course. I didn't know Ana too well. But she didn't deserve that. Neither does Abe." Christine replied.

We flash to the present as Christine walked towards Bram as he had a smirk on his face. Suddenly, glowing angel wings sprouted out of Christine's back, her irises glowed, her hair became lighter, while everyone was mesmerized by her appearance.
