As the chill creeps in so does confusion

Waking up with puffy eyes was the least of her worries at the moment, although somewhat blinding her in the process.

Neera got off the bed and lightly rubbed her eyes, with a little hope that it would do anything to calm down the puffiness.

Looking in the mirror once more, she remembered that this wasn't a dream, it was time to go. And by looking outside it seemed like she was up a bit too early, although not a problem for her as she wanted some time to practice.

On her bed she went into a crisscross position, while doing so she muttered "applesauce" as it was ingrained in her head to do so by society. Settling that thought aside, she closed her eyes and started to focus, like the many novels she had read and fanfics most people figure out how to do magic by meditation, although she can just call out Ice lance and it would appear, it would be best to know how to do this properly in case of anything happening.

Taking steady breaths she calmed herself down to a point of stillness, if anyone were to come in the room, they would assume she is dead if not for the fact of her chest slightly going up and down in rhythmic movements.

Suddenly she felt a chillness deep within, around her the area where her heart is located. Soon that chillness turned into a terrible frigid cold, gasping for air she stopped the meditation quickly as she covered herself with the thin blanket as her lips became chapped and almost blue.

'That was a mistake, that didn't even give me anything! Just almost getting hypothermia!' she yelled in her mind as she couldn't move her lips at this moment, shivering while rubbing her hands together she sighed 'I shouldn't have been stupid, what if I died?! I don't think there is a second chance after this!'.

Slowly gaining warmth into her hands she checks her status 'Something could have changed, although I doubt that'.

'My con went up? That's surprising but I ain't gonna do that again to see if it rises any more.' She then looked outside, although time had passed little for her, apparently it was the morning now and she had to get up and go for real this time.

Getting out of the bed she noticed her face isn't as sunken in at this point and her hair is a little more shiny, although one could hardly tell but to her it looked whiter?

"Hn, that's weird?" she muttered but soon turned her attention away from the mirror and to the door, taking brisk steps she opened the door to expect Aiden but he wasn't there this time, he must be sulking somewhere.

Although she felt bad leaving him, it was only some of the previous emotions of the body, she would probably come back anyways if not just to give this place more funding if she could ever make it that far.

Walking through the door down to the main entrance she spots the priest again, talking to one of the caretakers of the orphanage. But turned around abruptly after seeing Neera out of what she can presume to be the corner of his eye.

"Ah you're here now! Are you ready child?" said the priest with a smile, "I had gotten up pretty early to wait for you haha! Although that is quite my fault.." The priest then went up to Neera and held out his hand.

She took his hand firmly and they walked out the door to a carriage waiting outside.

Although she had not much time to think, she did really think the priest is a good person, gut feelings and all. As his whole personality would drop anyways if he wasn't while in the carriage.

As they enter the carriage Neera sat on the opposite side of the priest and then they start moving. Although the seats were padded a bit, they were quite uncomfortable, she didn't really let this show though.

She looked out the window and watched the town go by.

This was all a little fast pace for her.
