What helped William break out of his wave of contemplation, was a problem which they had experienced before as well. About ten guards blocked their path, and demanded the reason behind the group's presence.

It was noticeable that there were less men around the palace this time around, likely because they were sent out to explore where that explosion came from. Quite a few men were needed for such a job, and it was hard to find palace-worthy guards, so the lacking numbers wasn't a surprise.

Anyway, one of them was quick to sink into panic, as he noticed who the approachers were. Although the visitors weren't naked, their presence was still terrifying!

Riot and Alketa had a rough night, but they were wide awake and ready now. The little toddlers were eager to explore, and possibly slaughter too!

"They're those freaky kids with all the magic, it's them I tell you!" That one guard shouted out, and hid behind the other men.
