(Thor's hammer.)

Chapter three:

Okay, so Steve Rodgers isn't that bad. Unlike Tony Stark, he offered to introduce me to everyone else on the team. I really didn't have much to say because I didn't really want to get to know them. I get that they're trying to be polite, but just because I live with Tony Stark doesn't mean they should interact with me. But if I'm around them at least I don't have to deal with everyone else. We gathered around the couch, Agent Barton twirling a drumstick as they talked about Thor's hammer.

But it's a trick, Agent Barton started.

Thor chuckled. No, no, it's much more than that.

Whosoever be worthy shall have the power. Whatever, man! It's a trick. Yeah, clearly these guys are drunk out of their asses. Said Agent Barton.

Thor motioned towards the hammer. Please, be my guess.

Agent Barton looked like a kid when they got excited about getting their parents permission to do something. I didn't look away from the book because I know what's going to happen. He's going to try, but the hammer won't lift. But I do need some entertainment in my life, so maybe I'll watch.

Clint, you've had a rough week. We won't hold it against you if you can't get it up, Tony Stark joked, making the team laugh. Except for me.

Agent Barton looked at Thor. You've known I've seen this before right? Thor nodded as he motioned Agent Barton to go ahead. Agent Barton wrapped his hand around the handle and tried to pull it up, but he didn't even move the hammer by an inch. I still don't know how you do it! Said Agent Barton.

Tony Stark nodded at him. Smell the silent judgement? Then he elbowed me in the way I kind of like. I didn't say anything.

Now Agent Barton motioned to Tony Stark. Please, Stark, by all means. Said Agent Barton.

This should be good. Never one to shrink from an honest challenge. I raised my eyebrows at him. Not a word Rae, Rae. Said Tony Stark. Then, he wrapped his hands around the handle. It's physics. Physics, my ass. Right, so, if I lift it, I then rule Asgard? Asked Tony Stark.

Thor nodded. Yes, of course.

Tony tightened his hold. I will be reinstituting prima nocta. He only tugged once and nothing happened. I'll be right back. Replied Tony Stark.

I leaned back in my seat as he brought out one of his atomic arms. He grabbed the handle again before pulling up, but nothing happened. He kept trying until he called for his friend, I think his name is War Machine. They both tried, but neither could lift the hammer.

Are you even pulling? Rhoedy asked Tony Stark.

Tony snapped his head towards him. Are you on my team? Tony asked me. I then smirked at their failed attempt. Oh, ok, little miss demon, how about you try? Said Tony Stark.

I shook my head. Why am I going to try and lift something only Thor can? I asked him. Thor pointed towards me with a smile. At least I know not to make a fool of myself. I told Tony Stark.

Then Bruce Banner tried. He grunted and started making this weird noise before he lets go and roars at us. Everyone else tried to hold their laugh, but I just shook my head in embarrassment. Then Steve Rodgers got up and try and lift the mighty hammer. He rolled up his sleeves before grasping the handle. He pulled up and I could have sworn the hammer moved. Maybe I was just imagining it.

Banner motion to Natasha Romanoff. And, Widow? He asked her.

Natasha Romanoff shook her head. I'm with Raven on this one. That's a question I don't have to answer. Replied Black Widow.

I gestured towards her.. Finally someone who understands me. If Thor's the only worthy one who can lift the hammer, then why are you all embarrassing your sorry asses? I asked them.

That Shield Agent, Hill, I think, pointed at me while looking at Steve Rodgers. Steve, she just said a bad word. Agent Hill joked.

Steve Rodgers sighed in annoyance. Did you tell everyone about that? Steve Rodgers asked Tony Stark.

Tony rolled his eyes. The handles imprinted, right? Like a security code. Whoever is carrying Thor's fingertips is, I think, the literal translation. Said Tony Stark.

Thor got up. Yes. It's a very, very interesting theory. I have a simple one. He picked up the hammer and flipped it, catching it in one hand. Your demon friend is right. You're all are not worthy. Replied Thor.
