Geonwoo stood in front of the Irish table, pouring water from a water bottle into a glass. He placed the water bottle on the table just as the water gushed into the glass. Geonwoo, who had a frown on his face, didn't take his gaze away from Yeonhwa as she entered his room. Ahn Seonngdaek, who had led her to the room, entered the kitchen and Geonwoo inquired.
"How does my wife appear?"
"Your wife?"
When Ahn Seongdaek asked Geonwoo a question she didn't understand, she opened his mouth again.
"This means that nothing has changed since the injury."
Even after hearing additional answers, Ahn Seongdaek's face remained bewildered. While Geonwoo waited for an answer, Ahn Seongdaek scratched her cheeks and was obliged to find anything else to do.
"I believe the environment has shifted slightly. Because I, too, can't recall anything."
"Isn't there anything else than that?"
"There wasn't anything."
"Please let me know if anything troubles you later."
"Isn't there a severe problem with the brain?"
Geonwoo added when Ahn Seongdaek inquired with a troubled expression.
"It's not like that; it's just that I'm worried."
Ahn Seongdaek calmed her look and proceeded to the refrigerator at that point. Geonwoo raised a glass of water while standing with her back to the Irish table. He had a blank expression on his face, but dizzy thoughts had settled in his mind. He considered it fortunate that Yeonhwa had awoken. It was a case of amnesia. He figured she'd locate it gradually. But a peculiar sensation of ambivalence arose over and over.
"Would you like another glass of water, Sir?"
Ahn Seongdaek, who was standing next to Geonwoo, shook his head slightly as Ahn Seongdaek asked a question while holding a water bottle.
"It's all right."
"Don't be too concerned about your wife. She is a strong woman."
Geonwoo almost wondered if she was serious when she said such remarks. The woman he knew was not a powerful woman. It was like putting on a brave front. Geonwoo said to Ahn Seongdaek, who was ready to make the soybean paste stew, as he set down his glass of water.
"My wife's wounded arm will make it difficult for her to wash. Please cook the rice slowly."
Ahn Seongdaek, who had opened her eyes, inquired.
"Madam had an injury to her arm. Can she do it on her own?"
I purchased a waterproof cover at a medical supply store, but she would struggle to wash it on her own. Ahn Seongdaek took a look at Geonwoo's face.
"Shouldn't the husband pitch in?"
Geonwoo moved on, having not responded to Ahn Seongdaek's inquiries. Ahn Seongdaek, who was watching him walk to his room, raised the corner of her mouth and was absorbed in the materials on the table. Geonwoo grabbed the all-too-familiar door handle and yanked it down. Because it was his room, he forgot to knock. Yeonhwa, who was standing in the middle of the room, established eye contact with Geonwoo as soon as the door opened and then backed away significantly.
"You haven't washed yet?"
"I will take a shower."
Geonwoo fixed his gaze on Yeonhwa, who was limping to the restroom. Geonwoo tossed his jacket on the bed and came up to her. Geonwoo slammed the door shut with his palm when Yeonhwa tried to close it with her back to herself.
"Do you want to say anything?"
Geonwoo looked at Yeonhwa and responded quietly in response to her query.
"Let's take a shower together."
"....together at once? Do you want to take a bath?"
Geonwoo's eyes were filled with the sight of Yeonhwa's slightly stiffened lips.
"Yeah."
Yeonhwa's pupils shook as if they had been hit by lightning.
"Are you sure you're serious?"
Geonwoo, who raised his right hand to eye level, pressed the sleeve button. He couldn't think of anything to say, no matter how busy he appeared to be. Yeonhwa was only concerned with herself, but Geonwoo rolled up his sleeves and responded.
"We're in a relationship."
Then he drew out his watch carelessly. Yeonhwa covered both her nose and her mouth. It was used to keep the lips open in shock and to prevent snoring. Yeonhwa shook her head frantically, her face flushed.
"It's fine, I can wash myself."
Geonwoo tossed the leather watch into the washbasin.
"I don't have anything to say."
Yeonhwa spoke as quietly as she could, wetting her parched lips with the tip of her tongue.
"I can also wash it myself because it has a waterproof cover. And no matter how long we've been married, my memories have yet to return. Yoon Geonwoo is no different to me than a man who merely knows his name."
Yeonhwa's voice sounded clear as if it had been written perfectly.
"So, until I regain my memory, I hope you don't act the same way you did previously."
"You will be forced to adopt. We have to live together"
It was also something Yeonhwa desired. Because she desired to live in the same manner as other couples while having sex with this man. Geonwoo turned to leave when he knocked on the door with his index finger.
"Do not shut the door."
"Why?"
"If something appears to be wrong with you inside, I will come right in."
I guess Yeonhwa's permission wasn't required. Geonwoo exited the bathroom without waiting for an answer. Yeonhwa, who had kept her cool, sat down in her seat.
"Let's do the dishes together."
"Yeah."
"We're in a relationship."
The man's strange words and behavior perplexed Yeohwa. She had trouble adjusting to her husband's new appearance after the accident. It was obvious where the pain was. Maybe it's all in his head. Otherwise, she couldn't figure out why her husband's attitude had shifted. Yeonhwa had no idea when Geonwoo would return. Meanwhile, Geonwoo, who was standing outside the door, sat on the bed after hearing the shower from within. Then, lost in thought, he tapped the edge of the bed with his index finger involuntarily. Geonwoo's normal fingers clutched the bed as if he'd made a decision, and his look was determined.
