Ch. 13 Beau

Gosh, I'm tired, I think as my head drops for the second time.

Me and Beau were sitting next to each other watching a movie we've both seen at least twice before.

My eyes start to feel heavy as I doze off again.

All of a sudden, I feel a weight on my lap.

Hmm, must be the dog, I think as I stroke its fur.

My hand hits a spot with no hair; I continue to stroke it.

Huh, that's funny. I don't remember the dog being hairless right there, I think for a moment.

I struggle to pull my eyes open. They widen in shock.

Beau's head is on my lap.

My cheeks feel hot. I put my hands on my face. What the heck is he doing?

"Mm, what happened?" Beau grumbles. "Why'd you stop?"

"I-" I start to say feeling my face get warmer.

I can feel Beau turn to look up at me. I peak through my fingers. He grins. I immediately close my fingers and he turns back on his side.

This is embarrassing- I start to think but Beau interrupts me. "There's no one else here, why are you so shy all of a sudden?"

SHY?? YOU'RE THE ONE WHO LAID YOUR HEAD IN MY LAP, I think silently.

I know he's smirking at me, I can feel it.

Suddenly, I feel soft touch on my thigh.

I look down. Did Beau just kiss me??

He did it again.

"B-Beau... what're you doing?" I say.

He takes my right hand and kisses it. I pull back a little.

He chuckles and holds my hand to his face.

"You don't like it?"

He starts to stroke my leg lightly, back and forth.

I slowly get sleepy again but before I can even doze off, he kisses my fingers.

I jerk my hand away and look down at him. He frowns a little.

I keep my hands close to my chest. A few minutes pass by. My arms start to get tired.

Well, I guess there's no harm in putting my hands back down anyway. One ends up landing on Beau's arm and the other on his head.

Hmm, he didn't flinch. He must be asleep already, I think. Phew.

My eyes grow heavy again. Then Beau turns his face into my stomach. My heart stops for a moment.

"W-What-" I stutter. I'm wide awake now.

He starts to talk into my stomach.

I interrupt him. "Don't... don't say anything... that feels weird. Could we maybe just sleep now?"

Muffled, he replies, "Pfft, okay."

I squirm a little, he chuckles.

A minute or two passes by, my head starts to droop again. Ahh, finally. Maybe I can sleep now.

I feel two arms slide behind my back, but don't think much of it. I'm tired.

The arms start to squeeze my waist.

"H-hey, you're kinda suffocating me..." I mumble.

Muffled, Beau says something into my stomach. It tickles. "Um, what'd you say?"

He says it again. I squirm even more. "Oh, nevermind."

I feel him speak again, then something wet. "Hey, what're you doing?" I push his head away.

Beau sits up abruptly, still holding my waist, and lays back down with me on top of him. "Beau, what on earth are you doing??"

He brushes his fingers through my hair.

"You won't stop squirming while I lay on you, so I figured it might be better if you lay on me."

"Wha- I-" I stutter.

"Shhh," Beau says.

Before I know it, I'm drifting off asleep again.
