Within this circle

I woke up feeling sluggish and out of sorts. I stretched and moaned at how soft and comfy my mattress were. I reached out and touched the silky fabric. So this is how silk feels like. I love how it feels against my skin. I stretched with a smile again.

Wait! Why do I have silk mattress? I don't own one. Ashton loved them though. He would always insist on buying silk mattresses even when we don't have enough money. I just let him be, thinking that it was the only way that I can relieve him of some burden.

I squinted and was quite surprised when I saw how dark it was outside the windows. What time is it? I started to reach for my phone which I would normally put on top of the bedside table.

But I felt warm hands gently clasping my hand.

"Hmmm. Why are you sleeping in my room again?" I asked. I know it was Ed. I have come to memorize how his hand felt since he would always make sure to hold mine.
