You Hurt Me!

Farel rudely threw the expensive flower vase he bought in Europe last week, for some reason his current emotional level is very sensitive. Once provoked by an unpleasant discussion, he will surely immediately vent his anger. He was very annoyed with Zulfa's character who seemed to push himself, after all, he also still had a lot of work to do, his life was not only for Rani. And yes, he's not the type to be easily controlled, especially with a woman like Zulfa. No! He will continue to rebel until what he wants is achieved.

His breathing quickened when he heard a knock on the door accompanied by Zulfa's voice, calling out to him in a soft voice. If Rani were in Zulfa's position at this moment, he would be happy to open the door to his room, even giving a very sweet and charming smile as a gift. But for Zulfa, it doesn't look like it will. He completely ignored her presence and was reluctant to share every inch of tenderness that was in his heart.

"Farel, let's eat first..." Zulfa said softly who told her to eat first. Yes, just like before, he refused what the woman cooked for him. Moreover, by eating junk food alone with Rani, he is full and his body energy is replenished.

"GO AWAY, FA!" Farel snapped, he had been patient since yesterday, but for the umpteenth time, it was discussed again. He politely refused Zulfa's request, but the woman kept on pleading and pleading non-stop. He was fed up, really if maybe he wanted to get a divorce right now of course he could, but there was one thing he had to take care of, regarding this forced marriage.

"Open the door first, Farel. We'll have a good talk," said Zulfa outside who still insisted on seducing Farel so that the man would open the bedroom door. It was nothing, but if things like this were allowed to go on any longer, there would be no bright spots. Yes, even though she had to cry for the umpteenth time, but if she was relieved.

Farel sighed tiredly, he was tired enough to face all Zulfa's very troublesome behavior. Finally, he relented, and get up from sitting on the edge of the bed to open the bedroom door. Right, maybe this should be resolved properly. "Come in," he said coldly, causing Zulfa to swallow hard. Always liked this, will never change.

"Don't you want to go to my mother's house?" asked Zulfa who again brought up the same topic as before. But now she asks for Farel's sincerity, who refuses her offer without the slightest desire to take the time, let alone just to meet her mother. Nothing more, even enough for her.

"Yeah, I don't want to," Farrell answered with a shake of his head. The answer is still the same, no. He was someone with a very strong stance, would not change his decision even if it hurt the other party.

Zulfa nodded her head, but still didn't understand why she was always rejected. Whether it's in terms of status, or terms of Farel's view of her. "Why, Farel?" She asked.

Hearing that question with a slightly choked tone as if holding tight, of course, made Farel shrug his shoulders as if he didn't know anything. "Maybe because it's so unimportant to me?" he said, suggesting a possibility, only making the strings of words that come out of his mouth now as a shield.

"But my mother wants to meet you, Farel," said Zulfa trying to be strong. Not important huh? Is her mother who happens to be her husband's mother-in-law also considered unimportant? How much more pain from Farel's words did she have to feel?

"I don't care," Farel said while looking at Zulfa without the slightest expression. He doesn't care, it's true. And he doesn't even bother trying to care or if it's just pretending. After all, he didn't like this marriage, so why pretend to be happy in front of other people? It is better not to be close to a woman who already bears the status of his wife.

Zulfa sighed, who knows how many times it had been since the man had refused. Farel is childish and has always been like this, stubborn. She tried to control her emotions, not to cry like she used to. Don't be weak, God is always there to strengthen every broken heart. "Okay if you don't want to. I'm just with Dea, okay?" She said, pondering Farel's decision.

Even if she wanted to force it, she would never be able to because she would already know the answer that broke her heart.

"It's up to you, I want to meet Rani's parents," Farel replied without the slightest burden. He didn't mind at all when he refused Zulfa to meet his mother but wanted to meet Rani's mother.

Pain flowed smoothly in every vein in Zulfa's body, this time it was congested many times. Farel had gone too far, but she had no intention of giving up. Her heart, as strong as steel. "Why don't you want to go to my parents' house, Farel? What's the difference with Rani's parents?" She asked which finally raised the question that was in her mind, according to her there was another need so Farel very stubbornly refused the invitation to go to her mother's house, but again the reason the man refused was because of a Rani.

Which is more painful, just being rejected by her presence, or knowing that whatever she's been fighting for actually ends in disappointment?

Farel raised an eyebrow, isn't it obvious that his question has the same answer as before? "Yes, because you are nothing to me, Fa. Stop admitting that we are husband and wife," he says. Yes, the answer is still the same as before?

After all, yes this is Farel, his level of consciousness and lack of ability to choose the right thing are his weaknesses.

"You're crazy, Farel. We're husband and wife if you forget it." Zulfa said while shaking her head in disbelief, even now in her heart, she is praying to clear up her husband's way of thinking, which is more than a deviant word. Really, for the umpteenth time, she was not considered. For the umpteenth time she also thickens the defensive wall, don't let it fall...

"Maybe you're hallucinating, Fa," said Farel who never accepted anything that bound him and Zulfa. If this marriage is only 'profitable' for some parties, it will forever be 'profitable' not 'happy'.

Zulfa remembered how Farel boldly took the sacred vows of marriage. Even the man smiled warmly at every guest who came to their wedding, it was a big event by the Brahmana family and of course, the wedding was held in a luxurious building with the involvement of all family members. Then what is all this? Farel still considers not having a serious relationship with her? Very very painful.

Farel raised an eyebrow, wouldn't the answer to Zulfa's question always be the same for him?

"You are a man who is difficult to let go of Rani. Look at me, I am your wife," said Zulfa who still did not understand what Farel said. It was like being in a deep abyss, but being pushed again until it touched the bottom of the deepest abyss. And yes, no one can help but herself, sadly like that.

"I'm not difficult to let go of Rani, but I do not want to let go of the girl who has become a part of my life," said Farel who confirmed Zulfa's thoughts. Has entered his life suddenly, too knowing everything. Before the woman, he was also very happy with his lover.

So whose fault is all this? Zulfa?

"And you need the other half of your heart to stay alive, right? To become one, let me into your other half." Zulfa whispered while looking at Farel with a very sad look. I don't know what she should do, but every word can make many wounds in her heart.

"Don't dream, wake up."

Farel looked lazily at Zulfa, who had now changed into more casual clothes than before wearing a long robe. He didn't want to take her to be his life partner. All he wants is Rani, still the girl. Let's say he is selfish, but one should act like that as clear proof that his love is never playful and very sincere more than anything else.

"It seems you have amnesia, Farel. We are married. I also have proof of our marriage certificate." Zulfa said as she stepped to sit on the edge of the bed, she was tired of arguing with Farel but she didn't want to let his mind always race on Rani.

Zulfa started sleeping on the bed in the most comfortable position possible and then closed her eyes slowly, it was useless to hear Farel's words that were too painful. It would be better if she went to sleep and immediately entered a dream world that could be comforting even if it was just an illusion.

"Why to sleep here?!" Farel asked in a slightly raised voice, annoyed. He didn't want to be in the same room with Zulfa right now. He was sick of that one woman's innocent face that sometimes made his heart feel sorry, even if just a little, but if he left her later, his defenses might start to weaken.

Zulfa did not respond to Farel, her eyes were still closed, and reluctant to comment further.

"ARGHHH!"

Reluctantly, Farel came out of the room and immediately slammed the door. He reached into his pocket for his car keys. Tonight, he will spend the night at Rani's house, yes is the only way out of his current problem. Zulfa was draining his mind, and he had to step aside so he could understand her wishes.

No, no. Is it really about him not understanding Zulfa's will, or is he pretending not to understand that he wants a peaceful marriage?

Without the man knowing it, tears were already streaming down Zulfa's cheeks. Once again, the girl's heart was torn apart. The wound hadn't dried up yesterday but now it had grown again, and somehow she never counted how many times she had fallen but decided to get back up.

A man really has no right to be rude to a woman, especially if that woman is his wife. In marriage, it is not only the man who needs to be respected, but the wife also has the right to be respected. If it is like this, is it still worthy to be called marital status?
